Titanium mufflers on trademe.

Has anyone dealt with 'niaoniao' from trademe or have one of his $550 Ti mufflers?

I need something on the SV650 (04) to replace the stock muffler which sounds like a sewing machine (an enraged sewing machine mind you). I'm also looking at Neptune (starting at around $600) and a stainless M4 on Ebay, $280 + shipping (probably another $80). I'm open to suggestions too.

A word of warning CBRAero - I have a titanium end can from an R1 sitting in the garage which I bought for $100 secondhand (absolutely mint). After duly chopping off standard exhaust (in the right place, I might add - pretty chuffed about that actually!) proceeded to make up adaptor sleeve etc. Blagged the services of a mate who is a "top" stainless welder (I've seen his work - absolutely flawless) and after purchasing and using every type of rod known to man - gave up. :mad:

Options left -
1. kick the shit out of said "top" welder
2. go with the springs and clamp method
3. utter "ah fuck it" and start looking for an after market pipe.

Have chosen to go the route of No 3 and have just recently found out from the nice man at ABs Ducatis in Nelson that Scorpion do a lovely high level job (which is what I wanted in the first place).

And yes, I agree that the original end can sounds like a sewing machine!

Just saving the pennies now for that high level jobbie and a tail lifter (fender eliminator).

I thought it might have been motoracer as this member *used* to sell Ti systems, but thats no longer the case (I checked). I can't really justify a full system at the moment so it will be a case of slip on (2. springs and clamp method).

A fender eliminator and new rear shock are also on the to do list. So far I've put sonic springs and 20W oil in the front forks and fitted a motoracer frame sliders.
