Is due to hit NZ next week according to this little snippet from todays herald. It'll certainly make riding the harbour bridge a little more interesting
Cyclone Wati due to hit NZ next week
24.03.06 9.00am
Cyclone Wati could bring torrential rain and gale-force winds to northern parts of New Zealand next week, but the MetService says the effects of the storm are unpredictable.
"There's a threat of some rain and wind over northern parts of the country, down as far as the Nelson area, " says MetService forecaster Bob Lake

Harden up.
I walked to school 10miles in cyclone bola.
I was riding around tauranga, on a brand new set of tires, when tga was having the flooding last year.
Its only a bit of wind and rain, nothing to be scared about, unless you a bunch of lattee drinkers

no, it's cos there's only a couple of Watties pics on the net, and heaps of Heinz pics. So I just couldn't be arsed to go all the way down to the cafe with the camera, just to take a photo, just for a gag for this thread.
Apologies and I will try harder next time.
This has been a publicly funded Bugjuice apology.

Wati and Floyd..!
The arrows show the direction of travel. The anticyclone below Tassie should influence Wati's direction and the cooler southern waters should take a lot more energy from it as well.
Those at Cocos would be feeling Floyd at the moment I imagine..
