XBox 360 - First Impression

I got my XBox360 on Thursday :Punk: and the missus allowed me to buy 1 game.

First impression? It looks cool.......almost Apple-like

Second impression? The game was cool. I got PGR3 racing game, and the graphics is an improvement compared to XBox. Wasn't too much of an improvement though, but I guess it's because I was playing it in my old 14" TV. Framerate is amazing, and the world detail (spectators etc) is much richer than any XBox games. Can't wait until they release more games that I like.
I'm hoping to try it on my sist-in-law 29" TV this weekend...

Third impression? ermm....SUCK! it won't play my old Xbox game. A bit of digging on the Internet gave me a downloaded emulator that I installed. It allows only 200 games, which only ONE of them I owned....In other words? The rest of the games I own cannot be played......yet..........they are talking about continously adding games to the list of playable ones, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Fourth impression? Double-SHUCKS......Tried Forza Motorsports Xbox game on the 360 with the Emulator, and it runs with less framerate that on the original XBox. It is still playable, but the framerate reminds me of more like Playstation (one) framerate.........Oh well, beggars can't be choosers, I guess.

Damn...Now I regret selling my XBox to finance this one........I can't even play the Beach Volleyball skimpy-clad women thingy anymore.......... :no:

So, if you're thinking of buying Xbox360, that's my 2c.

Might be strange considering it comes from my fingers, but Yes that is a good choice.

Who knows, the price might just drop to $550 in the not-so-distant future. Or, at least wait until there are more game selections around. :yes:

Only 1 Arcade race to go: the last one in Nurburgring.
The others and Career mode are all done.

Only that one last race...........

XBOX 450 is being released in 4 months. You will then get an add on which converts that into the XBOX 540 Pro. On this, you'll only be able to play Sony Playstation 4 games, and Playstation 4 isn't being released for another 18 months. Not to mention you'll need the Emulator to convert them anyway, and by then the Emulator will only support 2 games, Ping Pong, and Arkanoid (an THAT'S only if you have a gold or Platinum Package):laugh:

My younger brother got his delivered on Thursday from pre-order.

He just got his second :pinch: It started freezing this morning. Phonecall to Microsoft Customer Support, special number given, and back to the shop. No problems with giving a replacement, which he is busy playing to do all the levels again (all the saves on the old HDD).

Graphics are pretty damn good, with a shimmer over the top of fires etc. No emulator for V8 Supercars yet, better not be to long.

He has Call of Duty 2, and the little games which come with it.

Personally... someone give me a top notch PC, my 3 yo lappy can't play the new battlefields :crybaby:

Im holding out for tourist trophy ,which is basically gran tourismo with bikes. Made by the same people, Its on ps2, due out next month I think.

MotoGP6, like all other motoGP games, have a problem with proportion.

Some MotoGP games have the bikes too skiny. THis Newest MotoGP6 game has the bike a bit too small for the rider size. The rider looks like Hulk Hogans on Bikes.....

I still have a perfect condition Sega Master System II with 20+ games :yeah: Lasted longer than our old PS1, and lasted longer than my XBox's controller. Probably got another good 20 years of life left in it

Yeah well when they come with a full sized GP replica, and you have to use all the bike controls to work the game I MIGHT get excited.

Meh, gives them ideas. People think they now know about racing lines and how to drift, etc. I went into my first streetstock race thinking I knew racing lines fairly well... nope.

Well some of the top riders use games to famileraise them selves with unseen tracks so if it works for them

I remember John Hopkins talking about the likes of the Motogp series on PS2, he said he uses it to get to know tracks he hasn't ridden but compares in no way what so ever to actually riding. A bit of a no-brainer if you ask me. (Not knocking JH, just anyone who would think it will improve their riding!!)

The endurance ones are close to (and some are even more than) one hour each.

It's fun, though...........unless spinning out on the last lap.

Thats happened to me before but it was one of the ai player that caused it. :blink:
