The new headlights look a lot better in your profile photo than they do on all the press release photos I've seen. I think they look pretty cool. Nice bike :niceone:

Sweet, mine is the 99, no difference. I didn't think their would be a great deal of weight difference between the 9 and 10. I'll proberly do the same as you in about a yrs time, but still not decided on the ZX10R, ZX14, GSXR1000K6, BussaK7...etc...What is the riding position like and pillion comfort like compared to the 9?

Cool..can I have the steering damper, can I? can I?
Was drooling over them at Ham MC yesturday. Don't think I have ever had a salesman come talk to me in that place!
Do I smell, look like a dork, have wanker written across my forhead or all of the above?
Don't forget it's not healthy to sleep in the garage tho!

Pillian comfort= not very good unless your a flexible.
The riding position is more radical than the 9, but not too uncomfortable.I've yet to get out on a long ride though. only done 200kms at the mo.

I know what you mean, anything below the plate, cut it..?
Sniper

And raise the plate

Take the whole guard off - 2 L brackets and the plate fits nicely between the pipes - nip down to Mt Eden M/C's to see how its done.

complete stunner?ninjaneil,:first:
Know what you mean when you laid eyes on the new Kawasaki black, it's stunning. Hooked me in a second. Looks even better out in sunlight. Ignore my avatar picture the green was so last year. I've ordered a Micron muffler to finish off the sound to match the looks.
I run mine in real easy for the first 300km then every 100km after that I raise the rev limit by 1000 rpm but usually on downhill runs, not uphill and never with full throttle until the first service. But after that don't be soft on it or it'll never toughen up.
The local K Dealer got in a black zx10 demo and I was all set to try it out but one of their best regulars took it out and just told them they're not getting the keys back! Bugger, was looking forward to sampling it. From sitting on one they do feel lighter than the 05.

From the 3 pics I have seen I am inclined to agree. I am not really into cutting up brand new bikes, but that pointy bit below the plate looks like a big hunk of sh*t on a sheep's ass and should be dealt with accordingly. Me being conservative and all, would leave the plate as is, and chop below. Besides chopping too much off, can not only look just as silly, but can cause the brake lights to get dirty on dirty roads. And I am not fond of the idea of some cage driver rear ending me cos my brakelight was dulled somewhat. Your call.
Otherwise a nice bike though, well done. (coming from Honda Hardcore)
