ive been looking at a few bikes and have decided to buy something i enjoy rideing but is still legal for me to ride, so i have been around [in many ways] and have been looking at the usaul zxr/cbr and an rg150, but for what i want i have found a super sexy little gruntless beast, a honda vt250 spada, good looking, good handling, slow and legal. its in absolute perfect condition and just imported from japan, shes only done 27000k and has no scratches or blemishes of any sort. its costing me $3800 and should last for a good two years or so. im in love! it doesnt really sound anything special but i may fix that.... and i'll be putting twin lights on her as the stock head light is kinda crap. i get her in 4 - 5 weeks when i have fully paid the deposit and figured insurance out, its not registered but the shop is covering all that in the purchase price:blip: i'll get pictures as soon as i get her or see her next

Excellent little bikes. May not be a rocket in the power stakes but they get along quite well & with good tyres they handle brilliantly. Good choice.

Have not seen a bad write up about them as far as entry level 250 go.

A spada was my first bike after my accident, big step down from a GSXR750 but enough to get used to riding onearmed. Was an absolute blast, sure whacked out at 160km/h but a lot of fun through the twisties. Congrats on the purchase.

here she is, i just went to masterton.... i took it for a ride in the wind and rain, she isnt very stable in the wind because she has no fat and weighs fu&k all. it did 140k into the wind fairly well and it is suprisingly grunty after the 650. i didnt try conering very fast cos of the rain but its stable when i take my arse off the seat and drops into the corners and steers very very fast. i love it:headbang: it even sounded decent but could do with a bit less baffling so it is louder. its a six speed but i kept trying to find another gear at 110k as im used to the bros650s 4.5krpm cruising comopared to this bikes 8-9krpm. its got that vtwin throb but also pulls of nothing with no vibrations in 5th-6th gear and is great around town with stacks of down low and midrange torque available, overtaking takes alot of throttle above 100k but it was into the wind and still passed quickly. and im happy to say i dont feel a need to go nuts down the straights like i did on the bros650 so ive learnt my lesson. im getting some decent rideing boots aswell and if all goes well i'll have her on next tuesday or monday as they dropped the deposit cos my old mans going grauntor [sp]:woohoo: im bloody stoked about it and cant wait to be back on two wheels [and sometimes one] again...:spudflip:
