My dear seats to my bike has all the seating comfort of sitting on my cpu mounted on a bucking bull. The tail section is from a RGV250L or M, anyone got any "better seat" fixes? My pillion in a million could use some more padding as well(although I would be a dead man if I said that to her.)

Tried a sheepskin? They can sometimes reduce the feeling of being ridden out of town on a rail.
A friend had his Funduro seat covered with possum fur, twas nice.

Yeah Timber020, my father in law owns that business and does all the custom seats, we have like 6 bikes between us, with my gsxr600, and the the wifes sisters, fiancee just got a zx10r yesterday(he works for local kawa dealer, baycity motorcycles).
But we can reshape/refoam the seat how ever you want, Its alot easyer if we have you here with bike, but it not we will find the same sorta bike in tauranga and make it around that.
We can change covers to all sorts of designs and colours

I have a TRX 850 and the seat pad is all scarred. Could I take it off and send it to the father in law to get a cover made for it?
If so, let me know and I'll send it up. Let me know the address of course :)

It's actually not the pad you sit on, it's bum stop pad. Embossing sounds very cool. Something like TRX850 in the Yamaha script would be a nice touch.
Thanks for the quick reply.

Sure we would work something out for it 750y. have to make something, but thats not to hard, hardest thing is finding some were you can fix it to the bike. <hint hint> ya might have to leave the bike with us for a week so we could figure something out, how how do you disconnect the speedo on a gsxr1000. j/k
Nah 750y nothing is impossible, would need a close look at one, i will look at the 1k k3 over here in tauranga, and see what i can work out and let ya know aye.
Jim2 Yeah i am sure be able to do something like that if possible send us a rough size of the logo you want on it, even it you just do a square on a piece of paper or something simlar when ya sent it up

lmao, they don't go without the speedo plugged in.
I think the tail is just like yours so it'd probably have to attach to the front of the rear seat cowl. I was thinking of getting hold of some foam and testing it with some velcro first. I find I sometimes slide back on the seat as the thing tries to accelerate out from underneath me.

Cheers Cajun - I'll take it off and package it up. I'll sellotape a rectangle of paper of about the size I want in the place where I think it should go.
Any ideas on price?
Cheers

750y yeah we can work something out, talking with father in law, he said best way is to mount it to the back seat cowl, by drilling a couple of holes in thru it and mounting it that way, if you stick with velco it come of to easy. and ya don't want it moving around when you are riding.
yeah Timber020 there was a write up in BRM mag a while back when we were moding there vstrom seat with pics of how we do things
