Hey guys,
Im finding that if I dont start my Bike everyday (which isant often because I ride it everywhere) but say I dont use it one weekend then it wont start straight up, like you have to hold the starter button down and try to give it some gas for a few secounds, then easy off both and repeat several times till you can get it to start, sometimes I pull the choak but that doesnt seem to make much difference...
Is there something wrong with my bike?

go take it to a decent mechanic (Mt Eden & Colemans aren't too bad for this stuff) and get the carbs cleaned and set/balanced. Should fix most of the probs. Also do a service, or get it serviced, or if it's been done recently, get the plugs checked too, just to be sure.

Usually because the fuel drains out of the carbs and the engine vacuum pumps the fuel through.
Does it have a prime, if so try moving it to prime for about 1 hour before starting, remember to turn it back to full when started, tends to starve at high revs
I have to use ether on my impulse when I haven't started it for a week or so.
If not using it very often 96 octane may be better as it tends to have a longer life, 91 can go bad quite quickly.

Maybe fuel leaking into cylinders. You turn your fuel tap off after you use her?

I leave it in the on position, theres on, off and reserve. Tho reserve doesnt ever work, when I 1st got it I ran it out of fuel twice, one time i swapped to reserve and it wouldnt start and the other time I got about 200m on it then it turned off again :( Luckey the gas stations were at the bottom of the hills so I just rolled down hehehe

Try turning the fuel tap to OFF everytime you are finished riding and then turn it on when you want to ride. MissSnipers FZR has this problem, but it is easily fixed when I get my A into G.
