was the Gix your present to yourself?? :msn-wink:

By the way I rode a 1K the other day. Man you go along thinking your 636 rice rocket is fast - add another 50 or so horses! To quote a famous person round these parts: Dayum! My Ninja felt pedestrian after riding the Gix 1K....

Congrats man, looked like a very beautiful wedding. :)

Did you and the mrs ride off on the K3 with just married written on its sides and cans and balloons dangeling along the back held with strings? :niceone:

thanks guys, the noose is about the same as before, just that it has slipped up from by balls to my neck. I can still get out riding etc. I didn't post up a bike pic cos i lost my camera downloading thingy. my mate's in the pic's mrs took this photo. You can see the wife's holden in the background tho, we rode off in that, 350 chev and it goes well but handles disgusting.

Well, join the club. Congratulations.

You've already got a nice bike so you're hardly endangering anything, apart from your ability to upgrade when your gixer becomes just another lardy sport tourer and you *really need* the new K6 model that makes 300 rear wheel horsepower and weighs in under 100kg sopping wet. :bleh:

Good on ya dave! The noose situation can't be that bad if you've just gone from no bike to a k3!!

hope you don't mind if I hijack this thread in a month or so... :)

I'm seeing a patern emerging...

Boy gets new bike.... Girl gets to become wife. I didn't realise new gixxers cost so much.

*Hopes his gf doesn't read this thread*

Although having thought that, I'd happily marry her if the dowry was a 04 gsxr600 k4. ;)

i got all excited about this 2002 model, advertised in the bikepoint and T & E, but it turns out it's in germany!!!!!! US$7200, but GST and ORC makes it about $14000...

i'd be excited about that too, I was 'this' close to buying a busa, fell in lust with the black bus. congrats on the anniversary anyhow, after 15 years you must be doing something right.

So how long have you been together? I've somehow managed to sidestep the issue for over 6 years now.

Don't worry that new bike will come along that you just have to have, and before you can say first service, you'll be at your reception. :bleh:

Always get dewey-eyed over weddings - wishing you many, many happy years together.... and enjoying watching your daughter grow - and learn to ride ?? :scooter:

Marriage and motorcycling only work when the couple agree about it...... see archived threads about this from the site's early days. It was a hot topic for awhile.........

oooooh, wish I was married .........it's bloody gooood when it's good.

Keep forgetting to put my ring on in the morning.

You take it off at night?

The only reason I still know that my fingers are skinny enough for mine to even *come* off these days is that I don't dare leave it on in the gym, it'd wear out against the bars.

10 years now, the little girl loves to go to puke and we have a 1 yr old boy who climbs on anything with wheels. eg parked the ute, left it running outside the house with the door open, while i went inside to get some things before work, come out to find 1 yr old standing in the drivers seat swinging the wheel & smiling trying to reach the gear stick, hmmm....

Heh. 10 years eh? Good man.

Only got 5 under the belt ourselves. SWMBO reckons the kids (1 and 2) are still too little to come along to the stock cars or the track. Fooey, I say, but I think I'll have to wait until they can ask for themselves so that I can exercise the secret Daddy power of buggering off quietly on a Sunday and then claiming that we needed the bonding time...

LOL, I been taking the girl to puke since age 2 & i'd sit her between me & the tank & ride round the infield & she'd be yelling "go on the track! go on the track dad"

Hahaha you sounds classic 750y, ya gonna have a petrol/speed freak there.

Just give her a few years and then she kick your ass around the track and dive up the inside of ya, thats what my misses did to her father when we all went to taupo
