 Bike up for grabs again as of 03/04
As I've got my full licence I no longer have use for this bike
it's got a fair bit of fairing damage, mostly superficial scratches, etc.
The bike had been regularly serviced by Cyclespot Honda on the shore,With a fluid change taking place about 6/7 weeks ago along with a new chain.
The bike is not used for commuting purposes and basically only gets ridden over weekends and the occasional late evening ride.
It has a current WOF and Rego, I will however have the WOF renewed prior to sale as I doubt the front tyre would make it through again.
Sitting on approximately 45000k's . The motor starts first time and never skips a beat. It is an ideal beginners / learners bike as it is relatively smooth, nimble and reliable.
I'm looking at +/- $2200 for the bike however am willing to negotiate.
I can be contacted on 021 124 4974 or at work on 09 523 8800 ex 9105
alternately via e-mail : ryanthomas@orcon.net.nz
regards
Ryan

maybe you should get a ZXR, they seem to have a better record than CBRs...

The bike has got high k's and to be honest the fairings would need some work.
lets face it when you learning to ride, you need something reliable and it will be binned even if its a slow bin...I just figure this way why bin on something more expensive and better looking.

Just as an aside, I sold my CBR250R two months ago, similar k's, worse fairings (sides completely gone, front in not great condition) and I got $2250 on trademe. Just saying that your price, even for a dinged up bike, is sharp.

I wish you were down here in Hamilton I'm dying for one of these.
The bike looks great for the price. I saw a stripped cbr250rr with 80000k's going for 1800.

The fairing will need a bit of work, its held securely on the bike, but nothing that a fibreglass repairer could not fix...
This would set you back about $300-$400, however it would need to be resprayed which is'nt a major. The cost i think lies in the decals which are damn dear.:Pokey:

Looking at the photo, I would say that I could make those decals. Would not be dear from me....

Sorry again matey,
I've got slightly insurance issues.
The bike is diffently worth the money guys, the fairings are not as bad as what he makes out and the engine runs really well...
The only thing i can see is that it needs the handle bars adjusted out apart from that it would make a good learner bike and is worth the money asked!!!!!

i'm 5'8/9 gosh maybe even 5'10 and always felt this bike a bit uncomfortable on long runs , i think its the seating position I weigh about 77k's so not huge at all but when i dropped myself over the tank, the seating arrangement made it awkward...ie my but kept hitting the upstand to the pillion seat.
Then again I have not ridden anything else so cant really judge....

I'm 6'6" and been riding the old MC19 for about 2 1/2 years now. Only have trouble on really long trips (5+ hours). I suspect that anyone would get sore after a time frame like that. It is certainly more comfortable than the MC22 - whacking my knees, balls and got a really sore arse... you'd think that the MC22 had a hidden agenda.

The mind boggles as to why you would spend +5 hours on a 250....hey hang on i'm screwing my own sale here.....the bikes really really great....:slap:

Mike sitting on and one and riding are different things they feel small sitting on them, but riding you sit in a slighty different position
