Yeah Merv, I'm (pleasantly) surprised at his speed. It seemed that he may have been past his 'best by date' - but NOT SO.
Lanzi would not be a happy young Italian forced to follow the other aussie Troy on the same bike.............

Perhaps someone can explain to me why Steve Martin continually does so well in testing yet fails to deliver on race day?

Also, I thought our mate Rossi would have taught us all that testing times mean jack shit when the green flag drops. As my hero Scott Russell once wore on a T-shirt, "I'm a racer, not a qualifier". Ahhhh, now THERE's a character....
