New to the forum and new to biking. I'm on a learners at 41 years of age & in Auckland city. Would be interested in hearing from any other Aprilia RS250 or Suzuki RGV250 (road bike) owners in town. Don't you love the smell of two stroke in the morning?

I wish I could remember being 41.
Although, as you get older having a woman half your age becomes less disgusting.

I agree. Who said "you're only as old as the girl you're going out with"?

It wouldn't have been Anna Nichol's hubby, he looked embalmed while still alive.
I heard they had to break his jaw to get rid of the dirty grin.

Welcome thesedays. Got my learners 3 month ago but you've got a long way to go to catch me at 41. I'm just having problems fitting the zimmer frame on the bike at the moment. Any ideas....

Welcome!
I'm not so sure about the two stroke smell. Maybe it will grow on me.
Have fun learning! I've been learning for almost 2 months now. It's great, I get a little bit better every time I go out. And the trips I would normally make in the car turn into exciting adventures when I go on the bike.

Welcome to the site! Ex RG250 Walter Wolf owner here. That bike was Lethal with a capital L. It had a daily habit of the power band cut in moving and trying to throw me off. I respect riders of two smokes as having nuts like churchbells and a deathwish!
Cant beat the smell though, and the maintanence, and the cursing, and the plug fowling, and the heartbreak!

Hi Calapop, no mate you never to old, someone once told me 'your only as old as the man you feel', got a little bit disheartened with that cause all the guys I am keen on are always older than me!
I rode many a year prior, had a prob and now just getting the confidence back, and I going to try and do it without a licence! If I travel fast enough the guys in blue wont be able to catch me.:dodge:
