Anyone used one of these? Useful with PDA's etc, projects a laser keyboard onto any surface. Probably more gimick than anything, but kind of neat in a geeky way.

Not sure if its worth the $360 more than a regular keyboard.

True, but there would be certain applications where it would be of advantage.

Agreed, like if you cant fit a keyboard in your bag, but then why not use the one already on your lap top and PDA's already have thoes annoying thumb sized attachments you plug into the bottom which is smaller.

Why not just get one of those touch screen monitors instead... could hook up a littie VB app that runs as a keyboard... that way you can use it as a keyboard or a monitor or a shop till... whatever..

Can you use it on your lap?? I'll stick with my bluetooth one thanks.
Don't bother with a keyboard for my pda, the point is that it is tiny, a keyboard makes it bigger (or the screen smaller). I chose a pda without keyboard for a reason. Also, since they are touch sensitive, you can either have the digital one, or it just detects your writing, and transforms to text.
Unless you are mobile, but "set up" somewhere when working, I would say gimmick

Yup - had one and sold it. A neat widget, but I found it contradicted the reason I use a PDA - I hold it in my hand and type notes, check emails etc. If I want to use a keyboard and can find a flat surface to work on I spark up my craptop if need be.
A gimmick IMO - but you do get some envious looks from other people when you use it. I think it's sold under a different brand name here in Asia, because every time I used to start mine up I swear people were pointing at me saying something that sounded like, "winker", or some other strange electromatronic brand name.

I need one. I've ruined enough keyboards with beer/coffee/coke to pay for one. Man I must be a liability on the road.
