Had to take hXc's Spada in for a new front tyre yesterday - http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showpost.php?p=549691&postcount=1
Anyway as luck would have it there was a test day going on. So like a good little bike rider I gainfully filled the wait time by taking shameless advantage of the bikes on offer.
First bike - GSR600. Nice riding position after the 'cramped' style of the Gixxer. Felt very short with no fairings out front. Nasty whistle too - couldn't work out whether from front wheel or engine, very noticable at round town speeds.
Second bike - M50. Never ridden a cruiser before with forward controls. Felt odd to say the least. 800cc Vtwin. Didn't do it for me.
Third bike - M109R. 1800cc Vtwin. Big. Comfortable. Getting used to the forward controls now. Sporty feel to it all the same. Torque for Africa. Felt like it could give the 1100 a run for it's money up to 200kph. One sexy bike. Yep, I could definitely get used to having one of these.
Tyre is on now so back on the Spada to take it home. Fuck - did I mistake it for a kiddy's trike? It's so tiny. And where did that torque go??
