Does anyone know where one can get plastic fittings chromed.

They use aluminium which look like chrome when evaporated on. O U Physics Dept sold their unit to a place in Christchurch.

you dont know who they sold it to do you or who I could contact to find out.
I did find a company called Industrial vacumisers in the north island , they make plastic chrome coffin handles but they were not interested in a one off job despite a heart felt plead from myself.

When restoring my XV I rang a lot of places to get some of the plasticwork replated and some parts that were not previously plated done, I was told there is noone that can do it in NZ and that you cant rechrome plastic that was previously chromes .... so ended up having it painted the same colour as the tank

The Bronzing studio are pretty good, they'll go everything from dashboards, to apples (I kid you not, check out their site).
