Motorcycling world champion Valentino Rossi swapped two wheels for four on Wednesday with a test drive in Michael Schumacher's Formula One Ferrari.

So will we see Rossi giving up two wheels for four in the future?

Hope not, but it will make for an interesting comparision in skills (see my thread on the topic of "Cans" Vs Bikes (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=2701) ).

I wonder if the Doctor reciprocated and offered to let Shummie take his new bike out for a spin sometime.

In all honesty I think either of those guys would have very little trouble being successful in the others chosen field of racing. They are both naturals, and the skills they both possess can easily transend the medium in which the utilise them. It might take them each a couple of months to get to know the bike/car, but after that, cya..... :scooter: :Punk:

You really think that Ferrari would let MS just hop on a racebike without screaming bloody murder? If Rossi f*cks up in the Ferrari, he just ends up with the car pointing backwards in gravel looking silly. If Schumi f*cks up on the Yam, he probably breaks a leg and both collarbones. Not good in the middle of a season.

Shumi rides a duke and is apparently, and not surprisingly, very adept at it. His bosses cringe more when he plays soccer as the risk of injury is, surprisingly, higher.

By the way - swapping a bike for a car is no new thing for "The Doctor" as he loves rally driving and has done a wee bit of that.
