Hey folks... not bike related I know, but I'm after some recommendations.
I've got a Mk 4 VW Golf 1.8CTi 1998 that needs some work and a WOF done.
Can anyone recommend a garage in Auckland that's good value (cheap) to get a cambelt changed and WOF done?
Cheers,

Keystone19's hubby and Keystone own Balmoral Motors on Dominion Road,
I went there, they are really good :)
Highly recommended. :)

Also there is Cambelt Replacment Service (Also known as Neil Park Motors) 9C Lady Ruby Drive. I have had the cambelt replaced there on my High'n'dry and they service the families vehicles regularly. Clean and tidy workshop, and the guys are always prepared to listen. As far as price goes, they seem pretty reasonable.

Depends where you live and/or work.
I've started using Greg Kent in Glenfield - he specialises in Peugoets, but works on other vehicles too (he's doing the service on our Fiat Punto on Friday).

Send me your details and I'll post a WoF out tomorrow - I'll also send instructions on how to do the cambelt.I don't do cheap.

Good one Motu. I was about to answer that good value and cheap cannot both be obtained at the same place.

Thanks Cibby - yep, we own Balmoral Auto Repairs behind Segedin Auto Spares at the Mt Eden end of Dominion Rd.
As above we go for quality. Unfortunately cheap and quality are not always synonymous but we like to think we offer good value for money.

Yeh... I didn't mean cheap as in bodge job... but I've had quotes from AA Auto Centres, and the VW Garage on Gt. North Road so they're a bit more than I'm willing to pay.
Need it fixed, but don't wanna take out a new mortgage to get it done.
