Saw this site on the telly tonight so set it up. It's got webcam shots of Wgtn and Auckland traffic spots. I had to download some weird shit called yahoo widget engine. Somehow doubt this added engine will speed up my pc though.
Anyway for Wgtn there are some m/way views and Courtenay Place? What the hell.. maybe to check if your mates are chucking up in the gutter and ready to be picked up.
As for the Auckland shots. Well they probably don't even bother to update the pictures anymore since it's always the same bumper to bumper shit.

Still might be handy in the morning to see if it's pissing down or jammed nearer the city before leaving home.
Is there some other webcam site floating around. The Dick Jerks on the morning radio often refer to their web cams.

There are a bunch of webcams hosted by citylink. http://www.citylink.co.nz/services/webcam/

Arrrgh just tried to view the streaming cam and it seems Paradise.net isn't peered at WIX any more so I can't. Looking at the static images works fine though. Give it a go.

I use the Yahoo Widgets (used to be Konfabulator) and they are brilliant. You can have clock widgets, weather widgets....shitloads of options.

This one is pretty cool. How about all the Wellington city guys heading down to Courtenay Place at 12:30 and giving us all a wave!!! :2thumbsup

might catch on, you mean when they see all the cars sitting still and the bikes splitting it up down the middle...

...and the bikes splitting it up down the middle...Yep, just wait until the resolution improves and people can read plates

Hmmm, I just have to listen to the traffic going by - more than 10 cars a minute and it's rush hour, pretty hi-tech eh?:woohoo:

Yep, just wait until the resolution improves and people can read plates

The police cameras have the resolution to do this already. The public ones don't for privacy reasons.
