Well I sold my CBR to GR81 a couple of weeks ago and have been riding to work on my moutain bike which i bought especially for the job.
I was riding through Takapuna this morning and went to take a corner which i had taken way faster and way lower on my CBR before so i didnt think anything of it.
Well i button off the human power coming into it and put the lean on then suddenly I realise that the pedal on the side that I am leaning to isnt in the 'UP' position so it digs into the road and kicks the arse end up sending me crashing into the wet road with my bike landing on top of me.
Ive had some pretty decent crashes on motorbikes before(always in gears) but the pain i received from that incident beats any of them hands down..............huge bruise on my arse and pain everywhere else
and worse of all my Ipod's stopped working:cry:

yeah after my bike got nicked I was stuck with the human powered version fpr a while
was running late for the ferry in the rain nail round a left hander on the bike didn't get the noob pedal problem like you but the tire hit the paint marking the corner and started low siding! slid about a foot untill it was flush against the gutter which kinda bounced me back upright and back online, made the ferry too

Excellent effort. Always thought cyclists were the dumbest road users through lack of protective gear.

Sorry to hear, hope you heal quick.
A while ago now before I heducated with a motorbike, used to ride to work.
Had just come through Royal oak roundabout, doing about 52K's at the time, next I new I was on my arse(hurt for months), sailing for the back of a rubish truck, slammed into his back wheel.
Then I noticed cars doing the same thing, I dived under the truck as a car went past me backwards.
Hydrolic hose had blown on the truck and he didn't realise till the resovour was empty.
Did $650 damage to bike, waste management paid for it then sent me a letter saying they wouldn't, that letter went into file 13. :motu:
Check your wrists, I fractured a bone in mine and didn't find out for a week, thank god I was wearing leather gloves one wore almost through.

Sorry to hear about your bin. Oh well, they heal quick and chicks dig scars. I did the above too, walked around for 2 days with a broken wrist before I thought to go to hospital.
Didnt really hurt that much, it just felt stiff and sore.
