I despise texting.
The amount of losers that get all twisted out of shape because some twat is sending abusive text messages is unbelievable. And most often its women! Some of the crap they write to each other is bizarre, (assuming you can even decipher the bloody txt speak).
Advice to such losers:
Turn your phone off.
Don't respond to the message.
Change your cell phone number.
Be carefull who you give it to.
GROW UP.
Having said that there are obviously some cases that are very serious such as this particular one.

Poor kid. A prime candidate for suicide. I hope he gets the councelling and support he'll need.

My heart goes out to the poor kid! Parents need to realise that while teenagers seem full of bravado and confidence and claim to know everything, they are really vulnerable, trying to find their feet and to be "grown up" while lacking the knowledge and experience to cope with the trials of teen life. Having three now grown children, as father, I was often surprised how naieve (?) they were at times and it was a lesson to be very closely involved with them. They knew they could talk to me about anything without fearing an overeaction and knowing they'd be listened to. The advice from Spudchucka needs to be publicised in schools and the kids need to know there is someone they can go to and have confidence in. It seems the kid's father did the right thing and the parents must have been horrified!

This sounds exactly like something that happened in the UK with some kids and an internet chatroom. There was a program on 20/20 or one of those other types of shows just a few months ago.

So you're saying this looks like a "copy-cat" thing?

It's just weird. I can't comprehend how someone is naive enough to fall for this sorta thing, but then some people naturally have the black helicopters circling so it doesn't take much... Although I'm sure there is way more to the story that what is published.
I'm with Spud - grow up!

I don't mind it when they're *circling*. It's when they come down low and point those wierd ray gun things at me through the windows, then climb up and dive bomb where I am. That's the bit I hate. Don't you hate it too when they do that? Or are you one of them too !!!!!. It's all a conspiracy!!!!!!!!!!!! (lots more !. gotta have lots and lots of !! )
