Hiya K'Bers
Hit the big 40 this year and decided to get back on two wheels after a motorcross accident when I was 14.
Got my bike 4 weeks ago from the crew @ Mt Eden Motorcycles and the odometer already reads 3300 clicks. I've got the bug bad...and I will never go back into a cage.
It's all good....

3300k's in 4 weeks? Don't wear it out! Seriously, though, how do you like the Hyosung? From your post, probably a lot! Welcome back. As a "returning biker" myself, I can certainly concur with your feelings, though still drive the car a lot. Take it easy out there! There're too many drongos in cars waiting to take you out while they're busy doing other things, like texting, applying makeup, reading magazines, having animated conversations on the cellphone or with their passenger.... etc.!

Hi ya BarBender, Yup theres something about turning 40 and wanting to get on 2 wheels if your not already on them. :woohoo: Safe travelling Barbender.
Welcome to the site.
Be prepared for every Aucklander in a cage or truck to take you out,
embrace it as part of the auxillaration of returning to bikes.

Welcome to another "Mature" rider!
What happens around 40? Must be something like animals following the call to pupate, mate, spawn, or sumit.
Go on you anyways!

Thanks for the welcome KBers and I appreciate the encouragement, advice and warnings.
Have had a couple of close calls already. Gravel in the middle of lane through Scenic Drive when I first got the bike and braking over "MIND THAT CHILD" in the rain last Sunday. Thankfully have managed to avoid cage incidents to date. However I am sure they are around!
I am enjoying the bike...not bad for a new brand. Being heavy set ( I weigh almost as much as the bike) - the big frame-small motor combo was the clincher.
Will do the mandatory probationary period and negotiating with the "boss"
before stepping up to something with a bit more width on the bike tire and zing from the lights. But in the meantime - my wheels are turning.
Take care out there.

Well by 40 in my case, the kids are in late teens, no more Hire Purchases, mortgage under control ... and at the right price (and with some creative accounting) a bike can be argued to be cheaper than the bus. Yipee!
Welcome aboard KB. Be careful out there.

Oh yeah - I'm a born again middle aged petrol head hoon and proud of it!!!!
Example - Been getting strange looks from a few of the neighbours recently - especially after I debaffled the can last weekend.:2thumbsup
Might have to get a few negotiation pointers off you Oakie! Getting the bike was easy. The issue is everything I want to do to it now that I've go it....
