So, Muslim women want to be able to drive while wearing a full body sack?
riiiiiiight. I dont give two fucks about the so called cultural reasons for doing it (mainly, it seems to me to do with oppression of women, but hey, what do I know?)
My big concern is that surely this is dangerous driving?
How can they see? especially the fully veiled ones.
god damn this is stupid, I cant believe its being pandered to.

It's no more dangerous than some of the Chinese (yes, this IS racist, because they're the only ones I've seen doing it) driving wearing big floppy sunhats/sunvisors that obscure their vision. Or in one case, a newspaper wound up in the passengers window to block the sun, completely obscuring vision on the left side, or in another case a lady with a stick-on sun visor on the drivers window to block the sun, which she had to peer around the front of to see what was coming from the right.
I don't care what nationality or religion people are; if they indulge in this kind of motoring fuckwittery, they should be stopped and have their licenses confiscated.
Permanently.
They obviously just don't get it.
Mind you having said that, I'd say most of the drivers on the road, especially in D'Auckland just don't understand that driving isn't some sort of game, entertainment or pastime to be taken frivolously.

Too bad you haven't seen non-asians driving 4WD with big cowboy hats....
One almost smashed me to bits. Saw a few of them up north around wellsford already..... :wait:

Big ups to her for peering around to see. Not like a blonde yesterday swerving into my lane causing me to lock my backwheel. Yes, without looking.
And there was another non-asian lady the day before. And a non-asian bus driver on Symonds on Monday. And a few non-asian cars tailgating me when I'm already 90kph in 80kph zone around NW motorway city-bound. :wait:

I totally agree with ya there mate. But, if you don't care what nationality or religion then why the opening remarks in the first sentence? :wait:
May I recommend sitting down, take a deep breath, look around and realize that it's more than just a skin-deep. You might have a symptom of selective-sights (similar to selective-hearing, but more about the eyes than ears).
Edit: now off we go to the other thread....

I personally want to know if a driver has seen me - especially at intersections with give way rules, etc - let alone motorways....

If you get through ok, 80% chance he has noticed you and 20% chance you're just lucky or quick enough.
If you get crashed, 99% chance he hasn't noticed you and 1% chance you stink.
Seeing does not have anything to do with it. You can see something and not noticing it.
I normally slow down in the intersection to minimalize risk, but the risk will always be there. It's all about risk management, not risk avoidance. Otherwise, I'd be spending my life in my room.
