Just heard on the news that a 'pedestrian' was run over by an ambulance while he was fleeing the cops.

Ah well, at least the loser picked the best vehicle to be hit by.

all very well, bit unfortunate for the Ambulance Officer, never very pleasant being involved in an incident like that,, lots of paper work, inquires, flash backs further down the track...

even if the victim involved was scrotum.

I used to cross the motorway in that exact spot, but 30 years ago the traffic was less...and although I was looking out for Cops, they weren't chasing me.

Well they did say he was run over 8 times. Forward, reverse, forward, reverse... Business must have been a bit slow that night for the ambo unit.

The only person I feel sorry for is the ambo driver. The other bugger deserved it. I wonder if they "missed" the vein a few times.

Yeah you're right, they should have left the mongrel on the side of the road. Then his family could get "all involved"

I see what you mean Grahameeboy. I just meant in the immediate situation if I had to choose between him and the ambo.

Given that I prefer cats and dogs (most animals in fact) to most humans, I'd say that they had their priorities right.

Only on the Hibiscus Coast, be afraid!

Do you think they will ban foot chases now?Nah, it'll be okay so long as visibility is good, foot traffic is light, and he doesn't run into oncoming pedestrians. But the moment he does, the officers will have to stop running, take off their uniform and proceed at walking pace on the left hand side of the footpath.

This is true. The only dickhead cop I've met was a farmboy from down Waikato way, he was a young fella, probably fresh out of the farm. The rest have all been level headed and honest.
