One Armed Wheelies
So this chap from NZ e-mails me looking for a place to host his videos.
The first one he passes to me shows him doing some one armed wheelies.

Nothing special you might think.

Except for the fact that he truly has only one arm!!!!
He had lost his other arm in a motorcycle accident awhile back.

I believe his next videos he will pass over will be some of his racing videos.

Yea unless you now he has only one arm You really could not tell. He says that what he did was swicth the clutch lever to the other bar and operates it with his thumb. This is how he is able to downshift.

Might be interseting to see in his racing videos if he shows the operation of shifting.

Impressive. there use to be a guy around here that lost an arm in a motorcycle accident and still drag raced down on 11th street. he rode wheelies and shit too just not as good as this guy. that road is pretty sweet for practicing wheelies on

he had a 98 gsxr750 before hand and just got this 1k about 4 months ago, he custom modifys his bikes so he can use brake/clutch with one hand

Weird that. Just recently I was wondering how you (OAB) operated the clutch. A bit of footage would be very interesting!

Clutch is a normal lever assembly, with the lever shortened, positioned in a reverse fashion on the right clip-on, it's operated by my (now super-strong) thumb. Anyone want a game of pea-knuckle???


(BTW, when I first saw this thread I thought 'oh fuck, what have I done now????' Not that I'm paranoid or anythng. Hey, who said that?)

Well after doing it for a few weeks my respect for you has grown even more (even though it was high already).. As for the pain, mine is constant, but not bad (about 2-3 out of 10) but i have had bouts of pain reaching 9 out of 10 which was excrutiating due to the fact it wouldnt change and was so constant (luckily my bouts have only been for an hour at a time and probably not as bad as yours...) Will make sure to catch up with you when im racing down south :niceone:

This nub did, using adobe premiere pro. Why? Because it was intended to be viewed as a streaming vid. It only weighs in at 8mb, where as the version compressed with divx using virtua dub weighed in at over 20mb.
