He he. The last time Mrs Oakie and I were there we discovered that a fair bit of fun can be had in the private 'Family' changing cubicles too. :apumpin: :blip:  (Well we classed the two of us as 'family')

Can you survive without a computer?

Gimme a winery, a motel with sky and a restaurant within walking distance and I'll survive anything.
Georgy could even nuke Iran and I wouldn't even notice.

20kms before hamner (or after in your case) is a farkin long straight. Used to do `80 in my subaru whenever i could.
So when you see a rediculously long straight that you cant see the end of HAMMER IT :D

Well spend a bit of time exploring Waipara as you pass through. It's stacked with Winerys and the Waipara Rieslings are the best in the country. For a winery with a restaurant attached Waipara Downs about 2km north of the Waipara intersection is bloody good, as is Canterbury House just a few kilometres south of the turnoff.

On the way to Akaroa, drop into the Barry's Bay cheese factory as you pass through Barry's Bay. They sell their really nice cheeses (doh) and local wines.

Enjoy your trip

Why do they all just focus on the top half of the mainland? is it some sort of complex they suffer from?

Homesickness? Ferry panic syndrome? Bad potty training?

Hey it's so nice down here people, you don't have to be afraid, scumdog wont bite you!

The judge always comments on his neat handwriting, puts him in a good mood.

You could have fun down here.

Is it the price of petrol Lou can you only go half way now?

Looking forward to reading your posts on your return. :blip: Cheers John.

I'm guessing they think it's cold. Having spent many a year in the Arrowtown summers, I can assure you it isn't. Not only does central Otago have scorchers, it's got some damn fine roads. Recommended!!!
