Just went to kawasaki.com (http://www.kawasaki.com) and there's no news of a recall there...as yet.
Would've thought they have it posted there with all the others listed.
Needless to say I will be seeing the local dealer in the morning to confirm.
Someone pass me my meds :sherlock:

I say fuck it, DON"T contact the dealer and ride your bike untill oyu receive a recall notice. If you ring 'em, and they say "That's right, bring it in" you're without a bike for six months. If you ignore the rumours and ride it 'till advised otherwise, it's under warranty and how were you to know?

Or. You could trade it and buy a real bike. Like a Gixxer ferinstance......

This must be bullshit, there are no press releases or new reports to be found ANYWHERE. Someone has started one of those gay Internet rumours that last for a week until the "in question" company/entity releases a denial/correction statement.

Knowing WINJA, he probably read it off a gay midgit porn site.

SPB: Cheers for saving my delicate mental state mate :woohoo:
Oh well if is a gearbox bearing I'll get it sorted and invite the ZX slaggers for a leisurely cruise up my way so they can prove just how lame my scooter is :shifty:
Still in saying that I'm surprised that Kawasaki.com hasn't got it on their recall list...will be ussed out tomorrow either way

That's only when the smart little buggers detect there's a Kumandsukme pilot on board.

Survival of the fittest and all that.

I heard something about the sv thous, please remember that they will give you a letter if it is required here. A motherboard I have for one of my computers was recalled in a US lawsuit.. but not here. I had the same problem as the ones in the states but did not qualify as I was not there. So DO NOT notify the dealers, keep riding and wait for them to get to you... unlikely there will be a recall unless it's a big deal and heaps crap out over here.

Superbike Planet have re-released their press released....it reads as follows....
We here at Superbike Planet have made a grave mistake, or at least someone in our organisation has, the recall was in fact for all and every Winja ever made.
The manufacture's of Winja's have no choice but to recall these malfunctioning time wasters and erge everyone not to listen to the noise ommitted from all models as the pain barrier could easily be broken............:mega:

Just found this. What a fuck up!

CPSC, Kawasaki Motors Corp. Announce Recall of all 06 ZX10 Motorcycles
WASHINGTON, D.C.- In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., of Irvine, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 8,000 motorcycles. This is due to major gearbox and crank bearing issues on these motorcycles.

CPSC and Kawasaki have not received any reports of injuries. This recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injuries.

Consumers should stop using the motorcycles immediately. Owners should immediately return their motorcycle to a Kawasaki dealership for a free replacement. Due to the severity of the problem, owners may experience significant delays as we work through the replacement program. For more information, consumers should call their local dealership or Kawasaki at (866) 802-9381, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. PT Monday through Friday; or, go to the company's website at www.kawasaki-media.com.

I know for a fact kawasaki nz will lie to your face about factory recalls, we dealt with them problems in the kawasaki vulcan 1500. There was a recall in the states, if a problem occured, you roll your bike in to dealer the fix it free of charge and you ride away again. Here they said no such problem exsitied even when we prodvided them with the extact problem kawasaki jp reason for recall etc etc.

ALl you can do is wait for it annoced in the states, offically from kawasaki.
and then decide from there.

Hoax. The companies media site is http://www.kawasaki.com/media. The link above does not work.

You're all behaving exactly as the hoaxer intended. He's probably sitting reading all these sites saying muhahahaha and looking at his gixxer/blade/r1 and wishing he could ride it.

Kawa don't issue recalls on the 'media' side anyway.

The recalls bit is under the menu at the top: Owner Info / Recall Info
and even then, to find anything out is a mission..

You have got me worried…
I hope they don’t recall my ZZR…..but I am somewhat confident that after 15 years and 97,000 ks the bearing should be just about run in!!!
Do you thing I should contact Japan and give them my phone number just in case.

YOU ONLY HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE TENSIONER ABOVE THE CLUTCH SNAPPING AND GOING INTO THE CLUTCH BASKET, ALSO IF THAT CHAIN GETS TO STRETCHED IT CAN LET THE ROD FALL OUT AND GO INTO THE BASKET
