2000 R6 steering damper

Hi all, I was hoping someone could help me, Im looking a steering damper for my 2000 R6 but im not sure if it will fit it has a length of 180mm, stroke of 85 mm and is fully adjustable what ever that means? Any help on this would be really appreciated. Cheers Everyone, Rob

why do you need a damper? just want to establish that, cos it's all very well saying 'he's got one so I want one' without trying other things like suspension setup first, but then if you have tried all that first and still getting slaps from hell, then it could very well help you out.

eBay and TM are good sources as always, and anything you look for on eBay will say if it's for an R6. Are you looking for one that fits to the frame or the tank mount? And adjustable, is you being able to adjust how hard the dampening is. The harder it is, the more stable it is, but more of a bitch around town it is. The lighter it is, the easier it will be around town, but you could still get a few shakes under power. But, most you can adjust on the fly too when you get used to it.

If you want cheap try daytona... next step up is hyperpro, and then you have Ohlins and WP (they are around $1000 but have 20 clicks of adjustment...)
