Hey everyone,

Just got out of hospital (again)... And the news is good (but not great).... They did some surgery on my shoulder, and my rotator cuff is relatively intact meaning that they didnt need to repair it...

So to summarise:

-My foot is healing up well (from the surgery on the burn i had 2 weeks ago)...

-Ribs are good, i sneezed accidently and it didnt hurt...

-Shoulder is sore, will be one to two weeks before i can start physio...

-Nerve damage is still there, but slowly improving everyday...

SSSSSSOOOOOO back on bike in 3-9 months!!!

If he did what the Dr's say, he'd never ride a bike again:bleh:

Stay strong mate! You'll get there in the end.

Good to hear TS, let 'em heal up properly otherwise you'll pay for it the rest of your life. Hard to do when you are itching to get back on a bike.

If only you where as slow at riding as your healing i might stand a chance in keeping up with you!

Thats awesome news mate it only means the healing time is shorter if they did not had to hamer away at you shoulder! Just take it easy until you fit again and with luck you will be back on the bike in 3 months!

Cheers everyone, ive already been told that if i get back on a bike before 3 months, Chloe will kick my arse then sell all my bikes... Dont want to rush it as i want to be all good for the nationals in 2007...

But the injuries wont stop me from coming to race meetings... Ive got KK racing my 400 for a few meetings, and have to keep an eye on the competition...

Good to hear that you're on the mend - to be honest, when I saw you last week you looked pretty healthy considering.. Well at least you got your first nasty crash out of the way, so you don't need to anticipate it while you're on the track anymore.. ;)

Just an update of my update...

Healing is coming along well, will start physio again shortly... Almost have enough strength and control to pull in the clutch on my bike... Need to stretch my shoulder so i can (with my other arm) left my arm higher than my head to get a helmt on....

Road rides might be a possibility in 3 weeks, but dont quote me on that...

Take your time fella, those injuries sound rather unpleasant. Come on you have another at least 20 years racing ahead of you, no hurry eh.

Good to hear you are healing up ok mate.

For some weird reason I actually like being in hospital? I have had about 12-14 operations under general anaesthetic for numerous injuries and quite a few more just under local anaesthetic. I had a cool one where I watched 2 surgeons remove 5 pins from my wrist which I now have at home. Quite interesting watching people cut me open down to the bone and dig around with pliers.

Morphine is totally over rated to eh, the feeling that general anaesthetic gives you just before you go under is way better!.
