Bike shop in Albany. Need a partner/support.

Hi guys,

I have thought about how to approach this with a few people but have decided that the straight and open approach just cuts to the heart of it.

Basically I have an idea to open a bike shop in Albany (or thereabouts). I would like to open it as a sort of KB clubhouse/ shop window for KB member goods that are being sold in the online forum of the site plus other stuff that bikers want. Then see how it develops. Small budget to start with.

Albany is a good area as it is growing, has motorway access, affluent, is a well know bike ride area and the nearest bike shop is in Takapuna.

I really need a partner or some form of support to help with this idea. Not so much loads of money (though that 'd be nice) more to help with start up costs and a physical prescence in the shop, mentoring etc.

I have more stufff to say but I reckon I should save that for more confidential forms of communication. I feel a bit uncomfortable just putting this idea out there like this but I need to see if there is any body out there who'd be interested.

mate i reckon great idea-- just may wanna check with spankme-- as far as using the website for marketing etc, as it currently is a non commercial site,

If you need shop staff i can help you out as a cheap form of labour, im thinking of switching to Massey University next year so it would only be a few mins down the road.

Dude, if ya need any help give me a pm..as im in the middle of designing and launching a e-commerce site dedicated to bikers...lids, leathers, exhausts you name it...as there is a limited amount you can get from your local dealers and i know there are a couple of sites about BUT competition is healthy.

Possible 2 birds one stone combo going on.
