I wonder why he's got the pic of the bros with the britten fairings if he's only selling the standard version?

Frankly, there is a HUGE marketting opportunity for someone here.
Think of how well a TL / VTR / Ducati 'JB' replica would go down with the masses! Think instant classic!

The Britten fairings would have to go onto a Suzuki (e.g. TL1000S/R or SV1000/SV650) because the real Britten had some Suzuki bits in it (I think it was the gearbox off a GSX-R1100)..

I always wanted to put the Britten fairings on a modded SV750 (big bore + ususal mods)..

The more observant of you will notice that both myself and Dynamytus50 have had a bit of a look, kicked the tyres, etc.
The guy might be clever an' all, putting it together, but having had a rather odd exchange by text with him last night, I wouldn't touch that bike with a bargepole. Can you say 'thrashed'?
Consider yourselves warned.

I know the guy, he's had a couple of Bros' and has/had GSXR750, the MiniBritten is all his own work. He contacted the Britten factory before he started and they didnt want to know or help etc, probably no real suprise actually. I've posted a photo of the bike on here before. He ended up building it pretty much the same way John Britten did, just made up a frame with welding wire etc but think he used papaer mache and fibreglass to buld the fairings etc. Its all one piece too. He runs it on the street, built the exhaust by hand too, hes not a bike mechanic either, just worked on it at home in his garage. He had it down at the John Britten memorial races in Chch on the back of a ute. I was chatting with him, and quite amazing the comments from some people for sure. One couple were convinced it was a genuine Britten! "Oh, your so fortunate to have one of these bikes", you'd think you'd notice the single sided swingarm etc! Andrew Stroud came over and took interest in it, think he was quite impressed and congratulated the owner on the job.
Personally I'd like to see a Britten replica kit designed around a VTR1000, I'm sure it wouldnt be that hard, bodywork like this and modded exhaust, paint it blue and pink, call it a Britten replica or Britten inspired! If a new VTR is $12500 would you pay say $10K extra? $22500 for a Britten lookalike? Be a bloody ripper wouldnt it? Be better value than those dodgy Paul Smart replica Ducatis wouldnt it?

Let alone the existence of a frame and front forks.
That couple must have been complete fucktards, that doesn't even come close to being a replica. You can't take a conventionally designed bike, stick a fairing on it and call it a Britten.
Well done for a laugh but thats all.
