My fuel tap has developed a leak and the idea of becoming a moving fireball is not so appealing  Not to mention $1.79 gas driping away...

I "fixed" it a couple of weeks ago with Steel Need-It which worked until now but I think the vibrations of ringing the little 250's neck were a bit too much and it is leaking again.

Does anyone know of one being wrecked or have a spare tank in their garden shed? I'm not sure how generic they are but you would have to hope it would be the same as many other Honda's from that era.

I was just quoted $253 for a new one with 14 days wait. Hoping someone has a better offer cause it's my only form of transport at the moment...

I've got a fuel tap for you right here!

$253! Jesus christ I hope it comes with a tub of vaseline for that price.

Under "General Ravings" there is a 'sticky' thread titled BIKE WRECKERS...
There is a good list in there of wreckers around NZ.

Cheers guys, I have been trying Buckets 'N' Bits in Wellington but these guys NEVER answer their phone. I'm going to have another go at fixing it today by drilling out the pop rivets that hold the two offending plates together, adding a bit of gasket cement and clamping back together. Hopefully this will work but I will have to branch out on wreckers if not.
