Anyone know a place around Takapuna that could heat and straighten a rear brake lever which is bent at 180 degrees?
It doesn't actually have to be bent straight again, maybe just to 90 degrees so that my foot can fit under it.
Cheers.

It may be quite hard to straighten it again. When metal is bent then it's weakened and if you try and bend it back then it can easily break. Maybe an easy way would be to cut it and weld it on straight again. That'd be what I would do.

Well, after consulting my Guru at the top of the mountain, he also gave me that suggestion. However, I want to go for a ride this weekend and was hoping for a quick fix.
I probably wil have to do that though, but I can't be arsed doing the wrecker scouting thing right now, and I'm not going to buy new OEM.
Might also go for the cut and weld option, as it is alloy.
Cheers guys.

in that case, reach for the toolbox where you should have the 3 main ingredients for any good toolbox... hotglue, ductape and cable ties.
that should be enough for a quick fix :)
