tis true...but they made the newer fours euro 3 compliant....and a doubt anything in there range won't be from next year...the TL derived motors arn't very good with emissions....suzuki hav stated that for the main reason for dropping the power of them over the years....cagiva hav dropped them from the rapter I think coz of the same emission's issuse's... I don't know whats inherently bad about the design of the motor for emissions...but I do know my TLs was a thirsty son of a bitch...only get 180km a tank or the road and 94km on a trackday...

'cause was wondering if they're going to kill production for all of the litre twin engines.
Was talking to a guy on the Ferry on Tuesday who's got a 1K Strom and he absolutely loves it.

I feel saddened, when people refer to beautiful things in life as male... Come on people lets get it right. All beautiful things are female - boats, helicoptors, planes, gliders, starships, computers (hang on I'm starting to sound geeky...) and BIKES.... Please being around korean machines, you may have lost the touch of talking about objects as male and female (no such thing in Korean language) but while you're writing in english, please refer to bike as female objects, which they are....
Ok... that's my ranting for the day...
Nah... better go find more victims.

A large combustion chamber is difficult to get burning efficiently compared to a small one, one of the reasons 4 have always been more efficient than twins. However, that doesn't mean it's impossible to make them efficient, just requires more work. So I guess Suzuki would have to start from scratch as the TL derived motors were always hungry (but fuck they go well) and it's more work to redesign something that exists to do things it was never designed for.
Be good if they went back to making something similar to the TL though. The TLR was sexy sexy, even though it had it's problems.

If you read what I said aloud it stands perfectly legiable.
"Time to try some Korean BOYS" Boys implies you, the reader and Korean implies Hyosung, the motorcycle.
Are people really that uneducated these days they can't comprehend simple sentences? I guess not.

It's the product of me having come through New Zealand education system. :) Luckly I had some out of school tutoring to compensate, and I only came to New Zealand 9 years ago. Without out of school tutoring and foreign influence, my inglish uld luk sumting lik dis.
EDIT: oh and I've reviewed your post, and for it to imply what you want, you would need a comma before the "boys" so it should read:

Nothing to do with emissions.
Aprilia will be back in Superbike in 2007 with a V4. Ducati should have their Superbike V4 going by 2008. The Sportclassic range will hold up the "traditional" end of the Ducati range, while the V4 will go in the "modern" range of bikes.
Honda have dropped the SP1-5, the VTR1000 will be dropped soon.
No one is going to be racing a twin (not that Suzuki ever did) with any success very soon, which renders Hyosung out of step with the marketplace. Don't be surprised to see a 1000cc Hyosung cruiser, but no GT1000. Watch them announce plans for a V5 sportsbike.
What races on Sunday sells on Monday. Never a truer word with the sportsbike crowd.

The current RSVR will be the last. The 999 will be the last V-Twin superbike from Ducati - unless they win the championship this year, though everything I've read suggests that the limited edition roadgoing Desmosedeici will form the basis of a less exotci rod/WSBK special.
Check the date that the "SP6" was made.

Thanks to making sure the series rules suit them specifically, much the same way that Honda have setup MotoGP to suit them, first with the RC211V, and then with next year's 800cc limit in MotoGP. In the same way that Kenny Roberts ensured that HD would move heaven and earth to get the Japanese chucked out of steel shoe racing, Rossi has given Honda the impetus to get the cc limit changed, oddly enough with the rest of the manufacturers agreement in MotoGP.

The 1200 is going to be for the mid-range tourers and multistrada replacement. The 1000DS motor will be in the Sport Classic bikes. The Superbike racer has to be 1000cc or less. Ducati have lost the battle to get the V-twin limit raised to 1200cc in WSBK. It will be a 1000cc V4. Claudio Domenicalli confirmed that "Ducati will continue the tradition of only racing what they sell", which according Alan Cathcart, the interviewer, was a strong hint that a less exotic road going 1000cc V4 than the limited edition Desmosedeici was to form the basis of the WSBK homologation bike - the 999's replacement.

Interesting. Claudio Domenicali is obviously sending a message to his boss telling him to hurry up and build V4 street bikes then. The latest interview I read said that they would have a V4 WSBK contender for 2008.
They'll definitely keep building twins, I never said that they wouldn't, just that their Superbike and 999 replacement will be a V4.

Yeah i fully see your point, i mean is there much difference anyways between sp1 and sp2?
thing is they are still making them which makes me happy, ive heard they are an awesome machine to ride.
The SP1's had a few handling issues. The SP2's were sorted out and they haven't changed since. In all honesty they are probably just repainting the left over stock each year and calling it an SP-whatever until they get rid of all of them.

V4's are the only way for ducatis to be truly competitive from the looks of it so its understandable.
V2's seem to do OK in World Supers.

The Ducati Cup? At least now they are playing on a relatively level field, unlike in Slight's era when the jap bikes were restricted to 750. The way it is running now has made it an interesting competition again, previously I'd completely lost interest because it was just a question of which Ducati rider would win.

A reply to a letter sent by a member of my SV site.
Good morning
I’m Glenn Hansen, the Communications Manager for American Suzuki. You recently sent a letter to Marty Haynes, and he forwarded it to me. Mr. Haynes works mostly with our Auto Division.
I am glad to get your letter, and I will take the time to register, hopefully this weekend. I’m traveling to the AMA Superbike race at RoadAmerica. But I will address your concerns about the SV. Have no fear, we have no immediate plans to eliminate this model from our lineup. I can’t divulge specific plans about the 2007 model lineup of motorcycles, but the SV’s future is not bleak, as was rumored by a gentleman from England. Of course, I can’t speak specifically about product sold for the U.K. market, but for American consumers, the SV’s future is good.
Our Dealer Meeting is scheduled for late September, and I can tell you more about the product line then. But you should not fear the SV’s future.
Keep in touch, and I hope we can help each other in the near future.
