It would be nice to keep it and slot a 500 2 stroke in there. Seen a Cagiva Mito with Kx500 power. MMMmmmm?

Good luck with the auction mate. A few years and lots of pies ago I would have killed for a bike like that, looks FUN.

considering you only paid $1500 for it, and the auction hasn't yet reached your, what would now seem to be, optimistic reserve, i'd say a $1500 profit in 6 weeks isn't too bad.

Well I may have finally found my first bike. Its an 99 Aprilia RS, and you guessed it im sure, it's the mighty 50cc machine we all know . It’s a little of what I wanted while also taking into account some of the advice given by members. I'm thinking it will do for at least the next 6 mths and I'm sure it will teach me alot. It's set me back $1500 has 5200k on the clock, mechanically good but could do with a little attention/cosmetic tidy up due to a low speed drop, overall it’s in pretty good condition. Next step is the right gear/helmet. Thanks to all those who gave their opinion, finally looks like I’m on my way in working up towards the 250.

A $1500 profit would be great and maybe if I had of sold it as I brought it I may just have well made that. That’s not what the question was and I’m lost as to why would post what you have? The fact I brought it for $1500 is irrelevant as yes it cost me $1500 but it still cost me more to get it on the road. Thanks for the response Marty but it seems more of a kick and waste of space than any real help. You’re not a member of Parliament are you?

Thanks, I should have sold the bike by itself as the cost gets a little high including the gear. I don't expect it to sell it this time around and as it's the first time I’ve listed it my reserve maybe a little on the high side but is not unrealistic. I'll just have to see how it goes. It helps knowing what your 125 cost being the same year. You want mine and I’d want yours LOL, I don't know how I missed that auction, great buy. Many thanks.
