Are you…
Dealing with a neighbour who just doesn't respect your passion for bikes?
Having a dispute over a boundary, tree or untidy section?
Having problems with neighbours who keep livestock,
exotic birds, roosters etc?
Trying to reason with you neighbour and being rebuffed?
Wondering what your rights are and where to go to get help?

Television production company Greenstone Pictures is making a series looking into disputes between neighbours. We would like to hear from anyone experiencing problems like those above. We appreciate that while this won’t be a suitable forum for everybody, there may well be those we can assist; with chosen disputes, we will not only film the story but make a genuine attempt to help solve the problem[s] using our range of experts and mediators.

Kathryn,

Nice idea for a show... as long as you don't portray all the bikers as hairy, badass scum. In other words, take the easy way out that just about every non-biking based TV show does.

And one more thing... you would have to advertise this in the newspapers I assume to get people to apply to be in the show. So I trust you contacted the webmaster of this site to get their permission (and make some kind of financial contribution) to advertise in this way?

There really is no such thing as a free lunch - this site costs money to run, so if you're going to use it for professional purposes, I think part of your advertising budget should go towards placing what is an advertisement on here.

SpankMe - if you're reading this and want me to bin the post, let me know.

Got a real problem with my neighbour, he keeps wanting to 'look after' my bike if we go away. He keeps offering to check that it is still operating properly, too. He even promises not to over-rev it! Silly old fool! At least that's what his wife says he is at 67!

Sorry, I know you're trying to be serious, but as I allus say, "Der's no-one more tryin' than me!" (Or was that my wife said that?)

Another "reality" tv show. Just what we all need. Get neighbours at each other's throats in return for five minutes of fame. I guess you'll be planning a Jerry Springer rip-off next. Quality programming? I don't think so. Long live the charter (yeah, right).

Fark, I'm tempted - our neighbour's cat attacked our kitten and did $700-odd worth of damage to her. I rang them and was told to give their cat a boot - to which I replied "if it gets close enough it will be on my hit list". Five minutes later they ring 111 and say I threatened to shoot their cat! When the police arrived they also had a list of 'ongoing problems' they had with us since we moved in three years ago, real serious shit like asking them if they were planning on trimming their shelterbelt!

The only trouble is, they're Brethren so it's not like they'd see the show... and funnily enough, bikes are the only thing we now seem to have in common!

Well.. I'd imagine sticking up a flyer in Glen Innes would get a similar response.

Personally I wouldn't do this kinda TV shit if you paid me, most people believe what they see on TV, it's not to be trusted.

Hell yeah, I'm in. I'm a neighbour of Greenstone Pictures, and I'm sick of the inane reality TV shows that they produce.

Do you think you could mediate them to pack up and move to Australia, or perhaps spend some time making something that doesn't turn New Zealanders in brainless zombies sitting on their couches watching "the real world". How about getting them to make some thing that encourages people to get out and see things with their own eyes! But then they wouldn't make any money because no one would watch their dribble. Tricky, but worth a crack. Contact me with details including how much you'll pay me to participate.

PS - I wouldn't call airing conflicts for the entertainment of others "research".

LMAO

At the outcome of this TV series would be??

Jesus, if I had a problem with a neighbour and they took it to TV3 and putit on air... I don't think the issue I had with that neighbour would be resolved at all. More like putting out fire with gasoline (bling to anyone naming the song WITHOUT Google)
