Hi Kiwi bikers, have just gone back on 2 wheels at 62.Last bike at 19 years was a royal enfield 700 constelation[in the UK].Present transport is a suzuki 125 sj scooter which is driving me mad! The bracket which holds the air cleaner and carb has broken twice in 4 weeks.Had it welded and strengthened, now it shears the bolts at weekly intervals.Any one else had this problem? Any ideas?[apart from putting it out with the inorganic!!]

from memory with that bike the aircleaner is held in the plastic air box thingie and has a hose clip onto one side of the carb which also has a hose clip on the other side.

dont remember a bracket...

Suggest u go look at one at a bike shop to make sure that yours is the same.

Good to see you returning to the fold. On your suzuki, the only thing I can suggest is that something is out of alignment, putting undue stress on the bracket. This should be fixed by Suzuki free of charge.

Welcome aboard
You're not missing any engine mount bolts? Sounds like too much movement stressing the bracket.

Welcome to KB!!
Great to see more folks on 2 wheels. A few of us here have had a break for a while to allow traffic congestion to build up and force us back onto a bike...:blip:
Enjoy the site and please do not feed the animals.:wait:
