Cabin fever

..............trouble with this crap weather is us adreneline junkies need to get on our machines :ride: :confused: and go for a burn.whether its a gentle quit ride or a hard core burn...........we all get it from time to time.:sick: ............so suggestions for those hancoring for a cure..................??????????:motu: i am going to go play pool........

I'm slowly working myself into mowing the lawns....I figure if I dither long enough it might rain again.The mower is a 2 stroke,makes so much noise earplugs have no effect,and the self propelled gearing is so high I have to jog to keep up with it.....bugger,one day I'll get an old mans lawn mower that will amble around at a slow pace.

Has it got a DT motor on it Motu? I agree if you're really hanging out for a ride and it's raining then ride in the rain. Good gear will keep dry.

I was sitting in the changing rooms after yesterdays game with a big smile on my face thinking I've got saturday sussed all year round.

Rugby in winter, bike rest of the year round. Oh and Sundays too.

Rugby makes winters fly by. And the bike makes the world fly by.

Rain!, What rain? Perfect riding weather. Cloudless sky, warm, dry roads, Haven't seen so many bikes out in weeks. Did a quick blat up to Welsford, down H16, Smoko at the lookout, about a dozen bikes there. Same again at the Kaukapa pub. A constant stream of bikes heading north. Back up Sh1 and the same again. Looks like we'll be getting the same weather today so a good breakfast and off to Mangawhai, The answer to your problem is obvious. Pack your bags and move north.

Well my mower wouldn't start! I told it some very stern words through clenched teeth,and gave it some time to think things over....it's life and death stuff here,this mower is on death row.As I walked past later instead of a kick I gave it a half hearted pull and it fired up! You beauty,all is forgiven...I'll never be mean to you again.I went down the centre strip of the drive and back up the fence line,then a piece of wire from the neighbours stuffed fence ripped out the fuel line - I shut it down and it wouldn't go again....hmmm,you're pushing your luck here Victor,we'll talk about this later....

It may be a worn out mower,but it's been a 2nd pull max starter for the 7 yrs I've had it,heaps of other problems,but it always starts first pull.But lately it's been flooding and I can't deflood it,once flooded that's it.But I've just remembered it started doing this when I changed my fuel mixture - I've always had it on 50:1 with a high grade oil,I've used up the stock I had and am back to cheap oil at 33:1....I might try my bike oil at 50:1 and see how that goes.Smells better anyway.

well, all us adrenaline junkies tend to keep ourselves occupied... if you cant go out on ur bike, gather a few mates, get out on ur front lawn, light something on fire and play chicken soccer... F**kin fun. just have plenty buckets of water handy :doobey:
