Last weeks ride was a washout - postponed due to heavy rain. Let's try again for this week:


What: A ride up north in da dark finishing with a cold one
When: Thursday night after work on the 27th April
Where: Meeting @ MOBIL LINCOLN ROAD Corner of Lincoln and Central Park Drive in Henderson - See attached map for directions
Why: Because there is more to motorcycling than just talking about it and its a good way to test your headlight!
Time: Meeting there from 6.30pm departing @ 7pm
Pace: Open to all (As long as you can ride at least 100kph - not to say that we ride that speed all the time in the dark)


Qkchk will even have her new baby on the ride........................:blip:

We will be doin that road as mentioned on the previous ride (it's a little jem...) but will be finishing up at the Speights Ale House cause the Albany pub cant be bothered to keep the kitchen open til 8pm for us. Their loss. :bye:

- Remember I dont want to see anyone turn up with a tinted/irridium visor on! Any chance to lessen the risks we take in our riding the better! (If you dont have a clear visor, may I suggest buying/borrowing a pair of clear saftey glasses and keep ya tint visor up....)

- Darkness = Slower speeds (self explained...)

- I'm doin the rides not for so much the riding itself (very limited with time and what you can do with it) but the social get-together at the Albany pub afterwards. So if you can't make the ride, try and make the pub and meet fellow Kbers! The route will be discussed on the night. For those worried about distance/time the ride will last for approx 1hr and is 70kms long. We start at Lincoln Rd and finish up at Albany.

Remember this ride is WEATHER PERMITTING - I will post up in the thread if it is postponed due to weather. I will decide on the day and post after 5pm.:sunny:

One of the better TNNR's i felt cos we weren't always waiting at intersections so it was a consistent run through to our 1st stop, better pace too. That last 20 mins of the ride freaked me a tad as i found myself leading after Qkchk had tactfully pulled over to let us pass, on twisty back roads that i'd only ridden once before, had a moment on 'Qkchk Cnr' & so did Blackbuell following me...fun nonetheless! :shit:

I'll happily stand in JSG's defence in respect of the fact he seems to have been picked on a lot. I don't know why, But then I haven't have much to do with him.

The couple of occasions I've met him - he's anice guy. Not too handy on a bike, but then I'll be critical of that when I'm perfect. Don't hold yer breath.

Will be there on Sunday weather dependant; Colemans have helped me set my suspension and i've got 2 bald tyres to munt and a few beers to be had with like minded muppets :blip: Whilst teh bike was in colemans havin the suspension played with i took a 1000 k4 and k6 out to play.. i think the k6 1000 is comin to boomers garage reaaaal soooon

ps. had the radar detector knicked out of the cage on monday ( the mrs had it in the car when she took the dog for a walk up mt albert) and the scum bags smashed the window...so i'm gonna be riding bare back :scooter:
