I notice there are heaps of "Battlefield 2" Players that are members here also.

Battlefield 2 being the a PC game (& xbox etc) that is playable online.

For those in the know......

So what Platform are you playing on, what server do you play on and who are you, online? Also, whats your favourite kitout?

I'm Dafecat, Play PC on Xtra Servers. I play %80 Special Forces %20 Engineer.

Hmmm, getting broadband soon so you might see me on some servers playing as N4CR or N4CER... either one. Sometimes jump on in the cyber cafes but that's about it.

If joint operations is still up and running i'll be on that too... and CSS I guess.

Just played the Special Forces Expansion at Warlord for the first time.

Pretty Impressive. Although, Pisses me off how you die when you jump off the 4x4's and they deflect off an obstacle and back into you! Even at 2kph!

Joystick is MUCH better for flying. {ToH}Drunken Monkey. Usually engineer or Special Forces. Don't play much these days though.

Chopper is easy as with mouse, i SUXOR at the planes though which a joystick helps but I find it aint that fun, Helo on the other hand is easy and better with mouse and keyboad as it represents true controls, cept the digital nature of the rudder and throttle controls, the mouse however acts like a cyclic and gives nice control

if you like racing games, and you've got a steering wheel, check out www.liveforspeed.net (the demo is free, and lots of people play it online, and it uses 'next to no' bandwidth: AKA: when you run out of bandwidth on killing games and you're down to 64kb *damn telecom* you can play LiveForSpeed).. drifting is fun (sometimes)

I haven't played it, I play some Team Fortress Classic from time to time, and used to play it against such BF2 legends as Smidge and hots, from IPT before they defected to BF1942 a couple of years back.

Lol good ol BF1942....used to play that when i was in Hams in the DeMonZ clan...ahh great days :doobey:

Hey guys, good to see some names I recognise on the BF2 servers. Play mostly on the xtra server flicking between various choices but mostly infantry and TANK WHORING arr arr arrr! Player name is Pulp_Action. You'll find me generally at the end of your sights!!! Since Smorgy seems a bit of a blow arse it's nice to know I've taken him out a few times!!! Will look for your various names when picking servers in future.

I am just about to create a BF2 SF forces server, just fining tuning the costs atm. Have been playing BF1942 & BF2 for ages along with Condition Zero - I am one of the sad ones who ran a CZ & BF2 clan back in the UK (still running it as CL).

Anyhow pm me guys if ya wanna be involved in the launch of the new server...as there are fook all in NZ and the Ozzie ones have shite pings..

Yep, Im a tech freak and like having gizmos and gadgets. Apparently BF2 was meant to be out for PSP in the first quarter of 2006. Might have to wait a bit.

Bit dissapointed with the lack of 1st person shooters for PSP, but the ease of downloading games and movies for it makes it worth it. Just need a few 2 gb cards (although now they have got 4gb cards on the market).

The NEW BF2 and BF1942 server should be online early next week, I will let you all know when it is up and running. It's based in NZ North Island so the reg and ping should be low and not exceed 100.

I will cap the ping to 150 to stop others playing from Aus and US as they lag the servers too much :blip: and besides Ozzies smell of poo !!!!!

can all peeps interested in using it & or helping out in any way let me know by pm,

I will need 2 admins as well as me - a webdesigner (as I cant be arsed to do it :nya:) for a clan website to promote the server...simialr to this www.omfgclan.co.uk .

Sorry to Hijack this Thread ,.....But since we talking about BF2 Theres another clan that I belong to that are looking for members, we are a Black Hawk down ,Cod2,Bf2,BF2142,Company of heroes, F.E.A.R ,and XBox 360 Based Clan.

If its anything like last year when I get second it was nearly 10 weeks before we got our prizes.

Then to top it off the Logitech Headphones I got as part of my prize pack stuffed out and they wouldn't honour the warranty! :angry:

I don't think hackers last very long in BF2. Punk buster should catch them out should it not? ... I thought Punkbuster worked by taking a screen shot and sending it back to an admin?

Nah its dead easy for someone to make punkbuster ignore cheats and hacks as it works on your vid card drivers, if i remember properly....I cant do it as its way beyond me but there out there all right

those poor fukers from SD :) i think TDP and SD got most of the spot prizes (in 2142 cup), imperium are kewl played for them in a few pracy scrims.
Silla remain the freaks, just wish I wanted to play 24/7 and never have sex and have a nice selection of pens and glow in the dark keyboard.

those poor fukers from SD :) i think TDP and SD got most of the spot prizes (in 2142 cup), imperium are kewl played for them in a few pracy scrims.

Wasn't a bad competition, spot prizes were a joke. Sila deserved to win, but now Sila has Enigma merged together they are going downhill fast in their attitude.

I was happy with third place :)

LOL we came last but glad the team didnt bail out as we were losing everything. Had heaps of laughs at some of the comments made by team mates. Dont know why sila would want to change anything ? they have been one NZ's strongest teams for ages.

Still wish I could chopper whore like i did in bf.V (dont ask me how u clock up 80+ kills in the vietcon chopper {bf.v teacup} and have the enemy chopper and still manage to lose that round, dont ask fobski either :D)

scarily you would be surprised the number of builders I know who would, (no pun intended) outside of work time met enough criteria to pass as a nerd.

From what I understand this is what ahppened:

Sila won the tournament and one of the conditions of entry was that you had to be prepared to fly to Taiwan 10 days after winning. Therefore have passport up to date etc.

Anyway guy that ran Sila hadn't done anything about his passport, also there was only 5 working days between finals and flying out. He applied for an urgent passport. EA had to book tickets (obviously) under each players name. This guy couldn't gurantee that his passport would arrive in time.

EA gave team the ultimatum that either they drop him and get someone who does have a passport ready so they could book the tickets or run the risk that only 9 would travel on the day if his passport didn't arrive as it would be too late to book another player. The team voted to replace him. So he wasn't very impressed and left the team with a number of other guys over it. Irony is that this guys passport arrived the day before they flew out :)

Sila was then down on members so Enigma merged in with them after they returned from Taiwan.

oooerrrr. bloody ell. I mean Sila was always picked to win (i hoped they might have a bad game and lose to enigma, my brothers team, but they delivered thier ownage) I assumed they would all have it all sorted and suitcases packed :/
Some of the egos you encounter in bf make you laugh. The same guys thats a great leader in-game is a total toss pot in anything nearing reality. then there are other people who come across shy in person but when playing under thier command they have it so sorted and under controll it lifts everyones game.
I would have thought the guy who didnt get to go would have been understanding regarding EA and his own teams position ?

I was pulling my hair out as the comp came closer. Id watched enigma praccy every night and my own team hadnt even had 1!! the comp would have been better if it had been held after about 3-4 months.

I like gunning in the chopper, flying too but I am a better gunner. My comp runs it shithouse I had a blat on mates new comp the other day and killing became piss easy.
I've become a fan of Jalalabad c4 onto the dune buggy and going mad, without suicide's though. Got 16 one map need that 20 c4's :)
Sniping is great with the 3rd weap they released, and claymores on Karkand provide entertainment.

I haven't played it, I play some Team Fortress Classic from time to time, and used to play it against such BF2 legends as Smidge and hots, from IPT before they defected to BF1942 a couple of years back.before they defected to BF1942? I don't think hackers last very long in BF2. Punk buster should catch them out should it not? ... I woz a BF fanatic until my game disk mysteriously disappeared :crybaby: It was the first time I nearly destroyed my computer...how I long for the action...loved sniper played mostly on Icon....thanks for bringing this up I had almost gotten over the loss:crybaby:.....I can still hear my buddies calling for me ......
