Dude...

Side fairings? left right or both? and how much would you want for them if selling separate to the bike?

2 rights and one left, some small scuffing damage to one of the rights... Sorry mate, selling with the bike...

Chris Sucich's ZXR400 Race Bike
Current bid: $2,500.00 | Reserve met | Closes: Mon, 8 May

Starting bid of $2500.Why so much you ask? Here is what it offers...

Newbie Racers/Street stock Racers:

This bike is an excellent starting platform for Formula 3. It is capable of consistent top 7 finishes at National Level. It is very reliable, with oil and filter changes after every 2-3 race meets. The bike has plenty of potential with which you can learn so much from and become a better racer yourself...

Veteran Formula 3 Racers:

This bike stock (other than full aftermarket exhaust) has been dynoed at 65hp! This bike is just asking for a big bore kit, H model cams, Dynojet kit, and an Ohlins rear shock!

What This Bike Comes With:

I used my mechanic's bike as spares. I don't have spare rims. The bike will come with new; oil, filter, chain, new Supercorsa SC1 front and Supercorsa SC2 rear. Chain lube, Brake Cleaner, Penetrating spray, 2x 4L containers of oil, near new wet tyres, spare; brake lever, clutch lever, gearshift lever, clutch fibres, some side fairings and front and rear pit stands. The bikes top fairing still has a small amount of damage but it is still fine to race with.

Bikes Specs:

1998 ZXR400L8 UK spec model

Bikes History:

Bought as a crashed road bike with 30000kms. It was quickly deregistered and became a F3 race bike. Craig Brown rebuilt the rear shock and it now has an external reservoir. I have raced this bike since November 2004. It has done mainly club races and the North Island rounds of the 2004 and 2005 Nationals. I have crashed this bike once. It was a simple low side at Turn 3 old Taupo circuit.

Bikes Capabilities:

Pukekohe: 1:07.126
Taupo old old circuit: low 43s
Taupo short circuit: low 42s
Manfield: 1:18.9
Wanganui: 55.9

Yep I can't understand why there wasn't more interest. Killer deals like this only show up every few years. I didn't have high hopes and expected a mad bidding war in the last few mins but it didn't happen? Feeling a little guilty and sorry for TS as well because it should've brought in a lot more.

But the pressures' on now! Not only am I in the uncomfortable position of having my performance under direct comparison to TwoSmokers (and KKs), now you guys want me to turn up more often too!! I would dearly love to (and hope too) but unfortunately buying a house kind of puts the handbrake on any expensive hobbies - I'm sure KK can relate!

The only way I could justify this purchase (and loan) from the "Bank of Mrs Hoon" was that I can sell my existing bike in street trim for close to if not more than what TS's bike costs so I'm not really spending anything and end up with a better bike and $1.5K of extras! A bargain if I ever saw one!

I reckon that the only reason there wasn't more interest was that everyone knows how fast this bike can go with a good rider onboard. Now, if you can't do those times, then there's only the rider to blame. Not saying that Hoon isn't a decent rider, but it takes away the excuse of my old 400 can't keep up with these new SV's. Clearly they can.

Hope the road bike sells soon, you'll need the extra cash to support your new baby.
