Hi all, i'm looking for a CDI unit for a GSX250s Katana 1993. I have asked many wreckers and no one seems to have one that fit this particlular bike, i can get a brand new one ex japan at asmall fortune of $981.00 which is out of the question at this stage ($$$)

Bike is a Japanese import and will run on either of the following two CDI units (removed from other katanas for trials)

32900 - 35d30
32900 - 45d00

HELP PLEASE!!!!!

cheers

You should find an electronics technician that specializes in fixing Fuel Injection & the likes electronic faults. Try some of the Jap imports service centres for a suitable tech.

Hi
Both my boys had (one has still got his) GSX250 Katana's and wouldn't you know it, they had the same issue with their bikes. What a bugger. They seem to just have a limited life expectance. Everything else about the bike is A1. They had a similar problem getting replacements as you. I believe there is a bike importer in Dunedin that has 5 or 6 complete GSX250 Katana's so keep looking. There are a few of them around. Maybe as they are still common in Japan you could talk to a bike importer and persuade him to bring in a wreck for you or source a secondhand CDI unit over there. Sorry I can't be more help. Let us know how you go. Cheers.
