Was thinking of running my virtualrugby.net competition for the World Cup in 6 weeks. Im in the process of developing it for smaller groups and could run it for kiwibikers if you guys are keen. It dont cost nuffing to join and could be a bit of fun. Someone could offer a prize to make things interesting? :)
I tend to only watch football during World Cups.

That's alright then. All I could see was that stinking virtual (gakk)rugby.net bit.
After that it's all a blur

Well done Jim.
Im missing out because I don't have sky. But fair enough. I have enough movies and rugby to watch, but world cups ARE special.
Yeah man ... I suck at the rugby comp but am sure I can redeem myself in football!

Any game where you kick pigskin is football - by majority rule.
Soccer remains the only true Football - by definition. (Until the goalie picks it up).

Nah - I still dream of being rich enough to buy a championship.

Mmm.....'eard that one before......money buys players and it has not helped Real Madrid.......individually yes the players cost 'eaps although it could be argued that 2 of the most important players have been Lampard and John Terry who did not cost a fortune.....theyPremiership have thedesire and seeing them hug after winning Premiership cannot be bought with money....plus the writing was on the walls a few years ago with Ranui....

OK - Rich AND astute enough to buy a championship.
I want a salary cap. It works in AFL and NFL - it's not the same 4 richest clubs every year in those comps. The draft system works too.
A salary cap might even work in NRL - but nobody seems to have observed it yet - there are only 4 teams who haven't been fined.
