Just happened to get the chan ce to test out a RGV150 very kool bike didnt get on long enuf to get the tyres warm and it aint as fast as my cousins NS250R but it sure is quick for its size now im seriously thinking of buying one! Only thing a i dont like is the really small tyres they r lik a small dirt bike tyres., and i wish i could make em bigger but the bike probably dnt av the touque to get a bigger wheel but one can dream.

Really liked the ride and would lik to actually see what its like over a week

If your gonna get a suzuki 150cc 2-smoker, get an RG 150 , rather than an RGv150.

The RG is watercooled, has a disc on the back and looks way cooler (plus is way faster)

The above is quite true, but beware if it's high km's as the power-valves can get quite worn and are reasonable expensive to replace.
Even nastier if you don't do it, and they do what they do when you don't.
If you know what I mean....

Totally leftfield I know.....but I see lots of quotes about going into corners slow, and coming out fast(er) on this site.
We ALL know that's true, and waaay much safer on the streets.
But for anyone that reads this that does a bit of racing, (not track days cause it's not cool for someone to deck their pride and joy trying to avoid you!) try going in a bit too hot a few times.....the others won't want to come near you, and then when you get it right, you'll have all this extra space to do it it!

Tis true, my man took my KR up the Taka's with his mates 770cc and manage to shit on him in the corners... Shame about those straights though...

My reply wasn't aimed at people doing stooopid stuff on the street.
That's NOT the place for scaring people.
Tell your man to get that shit outta his system at a track near you....

I would rather a RGe than a RGv but the only problem with that would be the fact that RGe is a rarer bike again being as it quicker and all. Talk to bikesport mechanic bout it and usually they r all kitted up for racing. If ne one wants to sell their KRR for cheap then that would sweet or even a test ride would b kool. Along with the smaller 2-smokers (dont really want a 250 1) i also would lik a FZR250 or ZXR250 or CBR250 but the price are usually not rite. Im a cheap dutch bastard and the fact im usually quite broke doesnt help

I would avoid the RGV. they aren't Japanese quality & I know of a few that have killed themselves. I might have one on my bench at the moment, it had a cracked piston & looked pretty seized. it was already on oversize, so this isn't the first time it's happened.

If yoy want a commutor there are plenty of other bikes out there. A Spada VTR250 is a nice bike for a tiddler. Be better on gas than a 2 stroke.

Reading above, bear in mind I am a 2 stroke fanatic. But still I think this.

Yeah ive been talking to Strat and he has been telling me about his RG and his various problems and he ended up spending mor thn it was worth to repair.
I have thought heavily about an VTR and at the current prices it seems expensive up front and althougth its most likely one of the best options i still gotta be in a budget. As for the KRR150 i lok at da pricing of one and they are expensive and hard to find.

Strat had very bad luck with his RG150

I've been riding one for 8 or so months and havn't had any trouble apart from the black rubber bits on the tyre turning to canvas...

Yes he did and unfortunately i know and taught him how to ride motorbikes.
I once owned a KDX and my powervalves went not good. I agree that RG are good bikes but i keep going bak to 4stroke i dont know why i cant help but i go bak to CBR,ZXR and FZR and the VTR has also caught my attention being as i like a good naked bike. The 2smokers are funtastic bikes to av a blat on they fulfiill all the basic needs of rider, the need to be revved, and that sound of a screaming eagle and so forth. Only problem i can find with the decent 4strokes is the price whereas the decent 2smokers seem to be cheaper, all bikes have pros and cons and i av no one favourite brand unlike some people who seem to have alliances with particular brands instead of basic principle of looking at specs and of course the general look and sound of a bike. Im jus looking for agreat first road rage.
