that should be the case, considering NZ was the first country it showed in..

I rang up several places about this yesterday, and although it is out to rent, aparantly it won't be available to buy until late June due to not being released overseas until early this year or something. So if you're dying to see it again like I was, download it or rent it and get your fix. (BTW, loved it just as much the second time as the first, what a great movie!!)
Mrs KD
you can rent it now?
i assumed since its only just come out in oz at the movies and not in the usa yet i dont think, that it wouldnt be avilable on dvd yet.
but mint... im off to rent it now :)

but to my horror I actually got Torque out and have watched half of it and actually like it ! I dont like overboard crap but its worth watching just to see some of the bikes and stunts and road riding shown. I am looking forward to watching Berts story in due course.

You liked Torque ! My Lord that is really scary. Now that you've seen Torque there's no need to watch TWFI - they are identical movies. Except one has possibly the best Actor alive in it, a fantastic storyline that leaves you feeling so happy you could cry, no stupidly unbelievable special effects that make you cringe with shame. Apart from that, identical.
ps- sorry for the sarcasm, that's just a mood swing caused by the rains ruining any chance of a ride:crybaby:

there's a new movie coming out: Ultraviolet (with Milla Jovovich <resident evils & 5th element>).. She rides a BMW bike that sounds very nice .. very futuristic movie, but was pretty good..

I saw Easy rider on its release and have had a joint tape of it and Vanishing Point( the original not the remake) for many years. Yes.. I am old. I still just love the 70's movies. Have you seen Dirty Mary Crazy Larry?? Another Peter Fonda movie. Classic cops verus running bank robbers in fast car and a very sudden ending, just like vanishing point.
Good on you Lord Derosso for getting out on your bike. I was referring to The World's fastest Indian' I'll be buying that when it goes on sale- a must for any collection.
Easy Rider - now that's already in my DVD collection. Still a great match of music to bike scenes. How can anyone not admire Harleys after watch Easy Rider. I always liked how they slipped in a reality check - puncture! Remeber , before tubeless tyres punctures were far more frequent. Been stuck in the middle of nowhere with a flat (apologies to anyone living near Reefton). That's when you learn a tyre pando will never fix a blown tube!
Easy Rider... haha classic!
how young does Jack Nicholson look in that!!

Milla Jovovich.. good movie.. lots of guns and stuff.. if you wanted to compare it to something, it would have to be comparable to Blade (as it is somewhat vampire related.. but different)

can check at work regarding availability, in the meantime pick up the book, its a bloody great read and you learn a whole lot about Burt Munro and all the stuff he did with his bikes. The movie seems to tie in about 10-20years of events, taking the best extracts and making it into one big story.

Dont forget if you ever blow thru Invercargill (like I did two weeks back) drop into E HAYES LTD (the Mitre 10 shop in the main street)...head to the back of the shop and check out Burts real Indian(not one of the movie replicas doing the rounds) and his 500 velocette...think it was fastest 500cc back then at about 132mph

My favourite part of biker boys was when the guy does a handstand on the R1 you can still quite clearly hear the bike accelorating and change gears twice.....
