I've been doing a bit of reading about the series of Ducati Monster's available, but one question I cannot answer is FUEL MILEAGE.

So my question is "Which Ducati Monster has the best fuel mileage?"

The only conclusive information I've found so far is that the S2 gets about 45 MPG (and the tank holds about 3 or 4 gallons.)

I've seen three on the road now and keep forgetting to ask.

Nah I was stuck behind a Triumph :Pokey:

I've heard plenty of stories about Shorty and his Monster, I would give my left nut to watch him ride.

Got to listen to a couple of his fucken insane crash stories though.

I quite like the naked Triumphs and Ducati's.

45MPG * 4 gallon = about 288km... not bad compared to my R6. (I get 270km if i ride to fumes on reserve with a bit of caining, mostly nanna style commuting)

Think is how much power do you want?

A 600 ducati will get you out to about 230-240max, but will be killer out of the corners and in the twisty shit.

the 900-1000 will be a bit harder to turn but faster on the straights.

Good thing is they are interchangable - bolt out, bolt in engines. So if you get tired of the 600 its only a few grand away from a bigger engine.

screw you all ... I only get about 170km before the light and about 220 when running on fumes... hope to change that soon though. riding is getting a bit expensive.

With trip meter sitting at 225km I start thinking about filling up, but :psst: in reality, it has only burnt 6l and has another 6l to go before hitting reserve :apint: Therefore, it can wait for another month or so before needing a refill. Have never actually hit reserve  but do run with switch on reserve occasionally as another KB member advised. The reserve holds 3l so that's ~110km.

Since it's now clocking less clicks, takes even longer between refills.

Most visits to petrol stations are to check tyre pressure

Are you referring to a Monster or a FXR?

( mostly nanna style commuting)

I get 190ish with my nana style commuting

edit: I do not think the S4R would be the most fuel efficient, but would give the biggest smiles!
