What happens when these f*ckers get caught? "You're very naughty. Don't do it again." Where's the disicpline? They know that nothing's gonna happen to 'em, so why should they care? No f*cking respect. There'd be a whole lot more respect if a couple of them got put in Paremoremo GP for a week.

Fssshhhh you wouldn't hear 'em farting...

I hope the perpetrators of these crimes are treated more severely than those who are guilty of indiscriminate apostrophe abuse. If I can restrain the BDOTGNZA's "Black Ops" unit...

I will consider that I am chastised, Sir.

Life's full of winners. Unfortunately most of them moved offshore and the rest of the working population are stuck supporting illiterate arseholes [Hitcher, please confirm usage of "arsehole" is in context] who get off on videoing beatings.

Got my kid a Telecom cell for her birthday, what she doesn't know is that i've also had a look at her phone to see what her texts are (I was a kid too once, and lied thru all of my teeth to my parents).

Messages are all OK, and seems to all be legit so far as the count of sent texts matches the phone bill detail.

If she was using wrongly then it would be gone.

You lot should be looking at the parents of the "bullies" not the kids.

Bwahaha at Dafes post.

Seriously, if I was a parent and that happened to my kid, all hell would break loose. No way would I let the little fucks get away with it. I wouldn't include the govt, but my first port of call would be the school and parents. If no luck there, I would get hold of the education board and make them aware of the problem and if the problem became more severe, I would move schools and make damn sure as many people knew about the culprits, their families and their habits.....

When is the government and more to the point, society going to conclude that things are shyte, the current setup is inadequate and these arseholes need to be effectively dealt with???
We as a whole have decided that this concept of not hitting kids (smack not bash, there is a huge friggin difference) is wrong. I say bullshit! I know what its like to get a smack and a bash from those who are supposed to be looking after me. A smack never did me any harm and if there is anyone out there that agrees that smacking is wrong (however I see red when it comes to bashing), then your a friggin idiot!
It never ceases to amaze me how society put things into place and later complain how things have turned out. We live now in a society of personal rights and no responsibility. It continues to make me sick seeing how criminals have all the rights, when the victims just get shafted. Much like whats happening with these bully tactics. It all starts somewhere and they say its starting at a kindy level. I reckon it really starts with the parents and an inability to be an effective parent.
Personally I think its a personal right to defend yourself from any form of abuse. Even if the abusies are not actually physically touching you. Unfortantely the law is also an arse, hence creating the arseholes who know/think they can get away with it.
That dude that grabbed that snot nosed kid after the same snot nosed kid was bullying the dudes daughter is a good example. The snot nosed kid lost some of his personal rights and needed to be dealt with in a way that reinforced responsibility and ended the bullshyte behaviour.
If someone was abusing someone, I'd want it stopped. Ive got into some difficult situations in the past because of this too. Likewise, I don't want my kid(s) getting bullied at school. If my kid(s) where doing the bullying, I'd want the problem dealt with also. I'd be dealing to it too as a parent.
Sadly we are a society of do little and biarch alot. Where does it end? I think this is merely the beginning of a new society of delinquents. With even bigger problems down the line.

I had a nice restrained word with parent of a bully once and quickly learnt where the kid had gotten it from. So I changed from nice little demure man to the if your kid ever comes near my kid man.

That fixed things prety well.

People just don't have the same respect anymore do they?

Agreed - but that'll only happen when adults are allowed to be adults too

Someone else's kid has a go at someone or something... I'll yell at them anytime. Most don't, most won't - they look on and wonder "how much trouble will I get into if I intervene".

Bollox to that. There's a lot to be said for a healthy respect of the law and of adults. How will anyone know society disapproves if society is scared to say so?

But even then a lot of them will choose to be childish i.e. my old neighbours and the 'baked beaning' of our letterbox

Our kids referred to us by first names from a young age. Never called us mum or dad til they were in their 20's. We never had any trouble with them and they grew up with very high values. You can be mates, but the kids need to know, you are on their side if they do right, but on their case if they do wrong!

Call me oldschool if you like. But growing up in Porirua East was a good experience. I learnt survival skills from a young age.
I used to fight day in, day out and it's a fond memory of mine now.
Geeze, I had some good scraps back then!
I hate imagining schooldays without the occassional bit of courtyard biffo!

A few people have said it is something for the school to deal with... why do problems with children always get thrown at schools?

I am at a school at the moment and I did duty by myself yesterday at morning tea. I had to stop a fight between 2 6 year olds... SIX! That is not something that they would have learnt at school! So I dealt with it by getting one of the boys to come with me to help me with my duty.

But teachers are not there all the time, and neither are parents. Children need to be taught proper values... both at home and at school. I had to tell a boy in my class that you don't wack someone back in the class if they wack you first, you tell the teacher. Wacking them back makes you just as bad etc etc etc

I agree, it was a gut reaction to protect the offspring. I was really taken aback as I went to see him quite reasonably and just wanted to talk about it and this goon basically came at me. Found the only thing he respected was the threat road.

Called me a touchy feely liberal scum and that I was what was wrong with parenting today. Basically he told me kids should be bashed into submission. No doubt his sentiments are being passed on to his kids yeah?

He has 6 of em, why for the most part do stupid people breed prolifically.
