Vigilante justice is the way here. Previously I'd never considered cruising around Ensors road at midnight looking for teenage girls to kill with a baseball bat as being particulary cricket... now I'm convinced those miserable bitches need to be taught a lesson. Wonder if a cracked pelvis bone from a baseball bat would make them think twice about attacking bus drivers.... now how to break that bone is the only decision left to make...

man those bitches make me sick. They'll get whats coming to them, maybe not straight away but one day.
Mass sterilization is the only answer. It is the quickest fix to NZ's problems.

What happened was a bunch of little asswipes wouldn't remove themselves from the orbiter bus service at its last destination on ensor's rd chch they then went on to attack the driver.
in the continuing mess another orbiter driver went to the rescue of the 1st driver & got attacked also, ambulance was called and the ambulance crew were to affraid to get out of the ambulance to help. the orbiter driver (#1) recieved injuries & the 2nd driver is in burwood hospital with suspected spinal injuries.
the group of kids were led by a bunch of 12-15yr old girls ( bunch of little scumballs) the PC bregade will say they need help because of other issues. what they need is some decent old school discipline

It's not just girls. There are packs of teens in virtually every town in NZ running wild. They can get away with it because nobody is doing anything.
That guy who got taken to court for grabbing the kid who bullied his daughter is a prefect example, that brat got what he deserved and the adult got busted for it?!? If violence towards them is not the answer then what is? They're not going to take notice of being told
"You're very naughty go and have time out..."
"F*ck you I'm going out..."
"Well, don't be late dear..."
Start jailing a few parents along with their kids, then maybe they'll start to take notice (both parents and kids)

I think a number of you have hit it on the head. I don't totally blame the parents, they can try their hardest, but some will go off the rails anyway. Plus, the ones that are trying, are up against the 'society' that their kids are living in. I imagine bringing up kids 'right' and 'respectful' in Aranui or Linwood is a bit more challenging than in the 'northwest' burbs. I don't abstain them entirely though, oh no, I do have some empathy for those that try but are 'up against it'.
The whole 'gangsta' thing is a bit of a worry... if I had teens, I'd be reluctant to let them go to the movies... how sad is that! I went to movies (for example) by myself when I was that age, it's bollocks that I'd feel paranoid every time my teen went to a late show. Problem is, there's too many of those little bastards just 'hanging out', just looking for someone to fight to prove how 'hard' they are.

As a paid bus Driver for a company that drives mainly School and Charter, I recently was on the receiving end of the verbal abuse, it got to the stage where the local police where involved and also the Education Board, thankfully my employers are understanding and back me all the way, as a Driver you do have the right to refuse to pick up passengers unfortunately the first driver didn't realise that trouble was mounting. I'm glad that they have cameras in the bus and hopefully the little 'bitches' 'slappers' are caught.
My thoughts are with the families, these guys where just out trying to make a living..
Bring back full borstol then compulsory Military training if you aren't going onto further education.

A-MEN to that!
I like the note at the end of the stuff story link "It's a pity parent's weren't called" I suspect they might not have been overly interested or capable. I don't know them so it's not a 100% fair criticism but hell. If my kids were ever the perps of that I'd be there in a flash, bringing the cops with me.
Funny how a cop get's access to pepper spray (for self defence) and abuses it, while a driver (who would have been quite entitled to use the stuff) can't...

I've always wondered how many people who went through CMT just added to their bag of tricks things like 'unarmed combat'. Seems like a great idea on the face of it, and good for thrity years ago, but is that sort of knowledge we want to give people like this in this day and age?

Thanks for that, guess I'll only be looking at the bike for a while, another ticket....maybe you can tell me why they make fast machines but limit the speed??? But you GOTTA love the Canterbury roads so straight, enough time for the radar detector to alert.

It is natural for kids to run in packs - the trick would be to get the pack into doing something acceptable, like choir practice or rugby, instead of running amok beating up little old ladies.

No it's not all the parents fault. In saying that it would be difficult to bring your kids up in certain areas or because of social pressures is a cop out. I brought my kids up for most of their life in Eastern Porirua (we've moved now) and I have a son in the 1st 15 at Wellington College (he's one of the youngest) and a daughter who recently attended a Shakers training camp and a young leaders conference day. Sure there are the odd kids that will go "off the rails" regardless of their parents best attempts, but the fact is that in 9 times out of 10 the parents are equally as culpable as these hoods.
I agree with MR's comment
...Compulsory Military Training if you aren't going onto further education or a full time job.

I did the Limited Service Volunteer course 7 or 8 years back, military training for dole bludgers, about the closest thing we still have to CMT, it was only 6 weeks long but it made an impact, I’m no wanna-be hard ass but there were a few there from skin heads to gangstas and nothing puts you in your place like a soldier blowing the shit out of you, just like the guy in full metal jacket, I saw a short ass runt navy instructor bring a giant Samoan guy to tears for setting off the fire alarm and a guy cowering in a corner after calling a corporal “sir”, he works for his dinner fuck pig!
2 years of CMT would sort out a lot of these social retards, so they might know how to fire a gun, do a dive roll, iron a shirt or walk in step but it’ll teach them to respect as well.

honestly....what those girls did was totally disgusting. and yes, they know they cant be touched by the law for being under age, but i hope they do get some form of punishment...proper punishment too, not this pansy shit the "parents" are seeming to dole out these days.
damon....i was meant to do the LSV course last year, but got turned down cos i was too heavy for my height. would have been good for the fitness point of view, but not for respect since i already have too much of that!

Like Damon mentioned courses like the LSV dont teach them how to be killing macines but rather how to accept an order and some discipline. Would love to see some little smart arse tell a CSM where to put it:yes:

Having trained LSV's a long moon ago I can attest to the fact that it does change people for the better. There was one young lad in particular who visited me about 3 years after he'd done the course. He made a point of contacting me to thank me for difference I made in his life - He'd just been accepted into the Airforce for officer training. I didn't do anything but teach him self respect. You can bellow at people all you like but they have to actually want something for them to change their views.

I brought my kids up for most of their life in Eastern Porirua (we've moved now)Oh yeah, I'm not saying that's an excuse, but I'm guessing that since you find 'Eastern Porirua' worth mentioning, that is was more 'difficult' or 'challenging' if you will. I'm just saying it must make what's a hard job (raising teens) even harder.
I must admit, I was assuming that by CMT you guys were meaning some actual time training to be a soldier, not the 6-8 weeks LSV stuff that's around these days... that's not CMT imho.

Its a start, look at what id did to the kid cola knows. What about if you want to leave school before 7th form without a job or course to go into then you do the LSV, its only 6 weeks but it can make a huge difference.
Baby steps.

The LSV is sadly the only thing we have anymore but I would solidly support CMT if it was to comeback, it takes a couple of weeks to get used to it but by the time it came to leave I wanted to stay, 2 years of proper training should crack the hardest nut.
I went straight out and applied to be a fireman in the air force, I passed all the tests first time up and then spent a year waiting for them to call, eventually I thought fuck them and went out a found another career which was sad but you can’t wait forever.
If you have a look at other countries that have CMT they don’t have nearly as many problems with their youth, and when they leave they have a nice bundle of cash to have fun with, have you ever noticed the number of young Israeli backpackers?

CMT would work in a country like NZ because our gumbermint is usually only committed to military projects like building bridges in the pacific. There is no way that CMT pers should ever be sent into any conflict situations. Even a 6 month expanded LSV course would do the job. The cost could be offset by the benfits that would be saved.
The main opponents to CMT are those who say "We don't need a huge armed forces" and "How is it going to make them better - by creating soldiers capable of inflicting more harm than they did before?" to these people I say;
Get your head out of your arse. The world isn't a pretty place anymore. If you want to hug these little f*ckers to make 'em better, let's see ya do it on a Friday or Saturday night downtown. In the meantime teach them how to be self sufficient and give them some values. You never know, if you're getting the crap kicked outa ya then they may even come to your aid.

Yeah, I was thinking of Israel as a good example of the virtues of CMT. Cambodia also comes to mind... well either that, or you do time in the police over there.
