Hi everyone, Just got my new bike after much research and hard work (to save the money) I finally got a new bike I chose a hyosung gt650 4 my step up bike $7500 brand new from Wheels in thames. Very helpful guys by the way!! I use them 4 all my bike maintenance and gear and my sons bike (freerider).Anyway at the end of the day I couldn’t beat the price 4 a new bike and I like the look of it so I road it home in the pooring rain with its new Diablo tyres. I got home safely with a big smile on my face. I can't wait to get the running in period over with so im off for another ride in the rain. I suppose it could be worse at least i live on the coro loop

Certainly loads of them in Perth!

A few dealers that I've spoken to believe that Hyosung will become one of the leading brands of motorcycle. With fuel prices and traffic congestion the way it is in most places, Motorcycles will become more popular.

Now, think about what is available.

Hyosung cater to budget, style and road capabilities. Very rarely will someone who buys a motorcycle for commuting or summer riding exceed 120 - 130kmp/h. Event he Hyosung GT 250's are capable of these speeds.

On top of this the fuel mileage is amazing.

nearly 12,000km on my GT 250R and only one major problem (Coil crapped itself)

Tnx 4 the comments guys. I just got back from Sailors Grave, (north of Tairua) and I've adjusted the rebound. So I'm off to test it. Whitianga here I come. Oh and I'll have to wait till my son gets home to put some pictures up, as I am not to hot at it.

If I were to go racing (which I won't unless I win lotto tomorrow - but first I'd have to buy a ticket) I'd buy a GT650 and go bother people in F3. They're a hell of a good buy. And better yet, you're not being a sheep and getting the same as everyone else.

Nice one Limb.

Interested to hear how it rides. Potential "step up" bike for me too.

Do let us know how it goes. They've been criticised for brakes and rear shock in the press, but I'm keen to know an owners view. :scooter:

I've heard that too. Also heard they've been getting better with each new model (as is to be expected). Although even if you did a shock/breaks upgrade they're still damn good value for money.

I'd definitely be looking at a GT250R if I was going to go sports for my next bike.

Congrats on the bike. Certainly great value for money and as the bike tests say you can always upgrade the suspension etc and still be saving over other makes. And you do have to wonder if Joe Biker really needs to have the all flashiest gear when 90% of the time their probably only tootling to work.

Nice ride Limb, keen also to know what it runs like long term. I was flirting with the idea of GT650R with uprated suspension, tyres and flash cans as my step up bike. Kinda thought that one out a bit.
