It appears our education system is churning out do gooders. Cowpoos, you need to go sort out your neighbours...

Looks like an open invitation to show those kids how to pull high speed wheelstands, stoppies, rolling burnouts etc down main roads.....

This is the part I like.

"The cars were going fast, that's what we thought, so we got a radar off the cops and for a couple of weeks measured how fast the cars were going."

They loan them to kids, can we all borrow them, I have some research I want to do too.

Where do you apply?

No need to wait till they're 40, as soon as they can get thier own set of wheels,(3-5 years) the guys will be hooning around in them to impress the girlies, and aforementioned girlies will be gossiping over them. Then as the nice officer hands them a fat ticket, thats when karma will say "haha, ya little squealers, who's laughing now? "

"We got a speed trailer. It showed them their speed and if they went over 55km/h it said 'slow down'. The trucks were getting the message and they did slow down generally

I love those trailers, there great to see if you can go fast enough for it not to register your speed.....

Would be interesting to see what would happen if they were in a blue uniform and a cap with checkered headband. Mind you anything that stops speeding around schools can't be all bad.

I got no problem with any serious effort to slow cars down going past schools.

But where do I sign up for one of them radar hire thingeys? Do Hirepool do them as well? I got a road or two in the 'rapa that a couple of the boys wouldn't mind using for checking speedo accuracy.

I can't believe this bullshit. I always slow down around primary and even secondary schools. There are places where the risks are negliable and places where they are not.

It may be 12 year olds in the photo but its the 5-8 year olds that are going to wander on the roads. It may not be your fault if they step infront of you but shit happens and there are instances where you can do something to reduce risks.

Bike vs Car you probably won't hurt anyone but a little kid could be killed from head injuries. And they mention trucks in the article, I wonder what their braking distance is.

I remember a couple of months ago where a bike posted a rant on this site about how a girl ran after a ball onto the road and a boyracer who was going over the speed limit only just braked in time.

The biker ripped the guy out of the car and gave the guy an earful for speeding in a residential area. Everyone was agreeing with him then...

Our schools are doing more permanent damage to our kids than the odd car doing 65 k's driving past.

the old ones were the best. when they told you how fast you were going no matter how fast it was... and they also told you how much your fine would be.
we had great fun looping around in the GTR to see how fast we could go heeh :)

That's for real. A whole generation growing up to think women run everything.
