While your out for a play on your favourite road...
A little me waits,
While your coffee sits cooling as you watch your bike from your cafe...
A little me waits.
Ordered a new bike, sick of waiting!
GAARRRR!! I want it now!
My only pleasure is not telling anyone what it is...

Last year I ended up waiting about 6 weeks (I think) when I was originally told 3. Did I get upset? Not really, thought I might though when I sold me old bike to Jim2, but then again I could ride mates bikes to deal with withdrawl. The bike arrived and I was happier than a pig in shyte. These days I have 7 bikes and currently an injury stopping me from riding. Your sick of waiting? I'd be happy just to sort out my injury, let alone ride. Its been 7 weeks and counting for me, might go and start them all up this morning once the Mrs has woken up, been awhile since I pissed the neighbours off...:mega:

Na, I was doing another donut on a quad and unfortunately there was rock under the sand on this particular part of the beach. The tyres dug through the sand and when the tyres hit the rock I went flying (literally) and landed on my head and right sholder fracturing my clavical (broken collarbone). Never been injured with a broken bone, hoping its my last...

Edbear
20th May 2006, 08:39
Sorry to hear! Amazing just how quick it all happens, too! Broken bones hurt, don't they? Esp when the family makes you laugh!

Dunno when it’s arriving, was going to be rung with a date but hasn’t happened yet...
It’s not a ZX6R, and you can go out and get one of them without the nail biting suspense! And it’s not a Honda... Caus I’ve had Hondas in the past and they just don’t do it for me.
I would change my avatar but that would give it away.

Still have my little Bandit, also another three I promised I'd keep running and another that needs a good run as well.
Get well soon, inlinefour/Edbear... Fell down the steps? You could have done better than that!

Yeah! Classic banana skin style slip off the top step! Landed slightly sideways on my back half way down! Wifey disappointed as we'd just reviewed our life insurance...

How about a bike cleaning kit?
Get it right and I'll send one out to you...
Prize for being a clever little bastard who spoilt all my fun!
Give you a hint, it’s not a ZX14 or a GSXR1000K6...
Oh what ever could it be?
Nice shiny bike for some lucky/devious individual!

Edbear

Wasn't serious, but Kewl! My bike needs a bit of a clean up! Tar splatter and chain lube on the mufflers is a pig to get off! Now down t' bizzness! You've ordered it and are waiting for it which suggests it's a new model, possibly...

myvice

I'll give you that one.
Took the new GSR 600 out for a run, nice bike and its what I need...
Just not what I want!
So yes, jumping ship.

Edbear
22nd May 2006, 20:46
How'd it go? Should have heaps of grunt! But not what you want... Maybe need a faired or semi-faired middleweight. The Kawa ER6F is in the country about now, or very soon...:blip:

myvice
22nd May 2006, 20:50
I like the ER6n, right up to the headlight...
The f is ok but I didn’t like the finish, looked kinda late 80's after-thought.
GSR went well, Haldanes have a demo

Edbear
24th May 2006, 20:27
Well, I'm picking you'll be kinda wanting to stay Japanese for reliability, but then there's a certain German company just released a twin cylinder that sounds pretty good. On the other hand, well, I have five more digits...:wait:

myvice
24th May 2006, 20:32
Na, actually moving away from the Japanese four.
Rounds it down a bit!

Edbear
24th May 2006, 20:36
Uhuh! Sure does! Now just got the Germans and Italians I think..? Mebbe the new BMW 800 S?:blip:

mmmmmmmm Not sure if a Jap bike would hold all this intrigue....I'm looking at your temporary avatar and thinking either...a Duc 749 or Triumph 675?

Shit - I like this game....

Could be a Super Moto...

However....surely the logical progression from a Bandit is to a Monster..........

S4R????
:blip:

myvice
24th May 2006, 21:19
Been out on a early 900 Monster lately, lots of fun but no...

Edbear
24th May 2006, 21:31
Maybe the Adventure then, though we're getting a little above the middleweight class, here. Not a lot of middleweights around that aren't Jap.

Don’t be too sure, very comfy bike (for a sports bike) fits me very well!
Didn’t fit the budget I had set for myself tho... $6k over!
Odd how you worry about the details later, like how much it costs, after-thought of a pillion seat, no handy under seat storage...
Arrives in 6 weeks or so, I dunno how I’m gunna handle the wait as I not what you would call a patient sort of person!

25th May 2006, 20:02
Keewll!!! Seen one in the metal at Holeshot. Even though it was grey it still looked real nice! Mebbe when this wedding thing for youngest daughter is ver in July I may be able to consider updating the 'F'. Of course I'd have to ride hte 675 to see if it fits...:first:

Congrats on the new ride!
I have a lot of respect for that road!

Daytona 675 - you lucky, lucky bastard!
So what colour you getting?
Yellow, the red looks like a Ducati, not that that’s a bad thing, and the grey is too hard to see.
And I have a soft spot for yellow bikes...
