Taupo MX Track

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if i could get some info on the Taupo MX Track; if there is one. A mate mentioned a pummus based track that was still good in the wet, as winter seems to be looming.

Any info would be choice as,

yes taupo have amx track. yes it is pumus but not always good to ride in the wet. last club round was in the wet and ask anyone who rode it it was not pleasent.

Taupo has an awesome mx track called Digger McKeown Park, it is open most the time, you can hire a key from darryl august motorcycles in Taupo, this track is one of the best in the country and has som e huge jumps, can be ridden in most weather.

Rode it during the vet nats few year's back. Was good to start but then it rained and although still rideable my YZ came out the end of the day like it had been polished with grinding paste!

Sweet :D pummus did sound like it would do that to a bike, well, looks like its woodhill in the wet eh? never been a fan of wet clay so ardmore and puke are out

Ardmore's ok most of the time, went Wednesday after the rain Sun,Mon and by the time i left the dust was coming up! Usually if it rains the day before it's still ok but heavy/constant rain on the day pays to give it a miss.
